I've just checked my account and it says this:

When it says "Weeks to Next Potential Rank" is 7, does it mean that I can potentially move to senior member in 7 week, or am I still stucked with Full member as in "potential activity" I am a "(Potential full member)"

Im pretty sure this is into the wrong section anyway, you earn 14 activity points every 14 days, to became senior you need to have 240 activity, soo those 7 weeks means if you stand active into those period you will be able to turn into senior by those time.

Potential activity is all the activity that you have accumulated from your previous periods of 14 days.

E.g: I posted once today and got +1 activity, while my potential activity increased +13. This means that I can post +13 times to fullfill my activity limit. If I post only once and in the next period I post again, my potential activity will be increased another +13, totalizing 26 of potential activity. If you post 26 times, your activity will increase until that number goes to 0.
If your "Weeks to Next Potential Rank" is equal to 7, this means that you will take ~7 weeks and 49 activity (14 posts/activity per 2 week period) to achieve the necessary activity to rank up.

Yes, you only need 7 weeks in able to become a senior member. Let's do the calculation, you have 196 activity.
196 +14 activity(2 weeks) = 210 activity
210 +14 activity(2 weeks) = 224 activity
224 +14 activity(2 weeks) = 238 activity
238 +7 activity(1 week) = 245 activity

But the activity only updates every 2 weeks so here's the last computation.
238 +14 activity(2 weeks) = 252 activity (Senior member).

And what about potential jumping to a Sr. Member strait from newbie.

There is no way to jump from newbie to senior.
Difference between activity and potential activity:
Exanple:
You have 109 activities and you make 10 posts the next two weeks.
 Every two weeks 14 posts are counted as activity.
When you fullfill only 10 posts, then you get after two weeks 10 activies and have 119 activities, but your potential activities are 123.
You are member with potential to full member. When you make this day now 4 posts, you needen't wait two weeks. They are immidiately counted (within one hour) and you are full member.

I think you have done a mistake here as the activity updates every 30 minutes and so the rank will update automatically whenever the required activity is acquired by the member. So by the computation above, the member will rank up to Sr.member automatically when he reaches 240activity points.
