Indeed. Governments have zero interest in adopting one of the already existing crypto currencies if they easily can get their own centralized version developed, and tie to their local fiat currency. It more than ever puts the control in the hands of the governments. Think about them being able to freeze any balance with just a few mouse clicks, that they can give anyone an instant haircut if they think it's necessary, they can follow every step you set wherever you conduct payments, etc. As a person caring about financial freedom and decentralization, this is obviously not going to be much of a help to me. One of the main reasons I use Bitcoin for is that it allows me to avoid dealing with any banking or governmental related entity.

I agree with what you had said guys but I don't know if I'm too much reading of conspiracies all over the web with some sort of societies and one world government stuffs. I'd read there that there will be a one world currency, gov't and almost everything that will be issued for all the countries will be united with it. And with the one world currency thing, I'm thinking that it will be bitcoin.

In 5years I think bitcoin price will reach around $15k. But no one knows or maybe lower than that. We all just speculating but it is also important to us so w may know especily to those who are expert for a long time investing.
But for me bitcoin is now worth it to have. It has a good amount and a good thing to invest so we can gain profit in the future.

Even though bitcoin price is unpredictable, 4-5 years is a long enough timeframe for us to have an idea of where price is going.

In 4 years time we can definitely expect bitcoin price to double and reach levels close to or more than $10k per bitcoin. However in 5 years time i think the prices should have cooled down a bit and perhaps adjusted to $7-8k.

And these are quite conservative prediction figures as usually halvings can bring pumps way bigger than that (just look at 2013 and 2017, this year).

In the last 5 years, Bitcoin has "permanently" doubled 9 times, from $5 to $2500. This includes a 2 year bear market.

If it doubles 9 more times in 5 years, that would put us right around $1,300,000.

If we are a little more conservative and say the doubling rate halves, so only 4 or 5 more doublings, that would bring us down to only $40,000 or $80,000.

Hard to believe for the price to come for that digits but If there's a big news will happen on bitcoins and huge buy cap together with certain legalization will be happen I think bitcoins would reach for that price for upcoming 5 years from now. But I can't totally drop the exact figures but hopes that one will come and many eyes will roled to see the great happenings on bitcoins and that's for sure.

That's not fair, because even now very few governments have accepted bitcoin in a legalized manner. Even before that the growth has been taking place in a stable and steady manner. Once after the adoption from governments the fluctuations took place in large scale taking the price grow much higher. So in 5 years time lot changes will happen.

We do not know what's happening. But just one thing I'm sure, based on my knowledge that bitcoins will increase by almost $ 10,000. Many today are testing their way because of rumors of bitcoins in china, We have seen the collapse of it soon but will not break any bitcoins anymore. Exactly I have predicted the crossing figure of 10000$ for bitcoin after five years. I think beside the value for bitcoin after five years, bitcoin would be close to recognize itself across the world a legal currency and most of the developed countries of the would have been declared a legal currency in their countries but a formal approval being a global currency would be required that time. The bitcoin holder will enjoy much that time.

The Bitcoin total supply is very limited, and if the number of millionaires in the world is higher than the number of Bitcoins available, as they say, I would not be surprised if a single Bitcoin becomes worth more than a million dollars. But I think it will take more than 5 years for this to happen.
