It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

My answer that it is to low. How about when it comes in Manila? 1000 php is not enough it only can be spend in provincess.
How about let other countries answer your topic and so 1000 PHP is estimated about 20 USD. So guys if this happens to your country or city?

What would you all guys say about this?

I think it is just the President's way to show distaste to the commission. For the past few months, the commission showed impartiality on defending tne rights of every filipino people. They just favored and allowed themselves to be controlled by the opposition to destroy the president's campaign against illegal drugs.
But on the other hand, I hope that this will serve them a lesson to tale time to study each case. Come to think of it, how would one run an office for a year on a 1000 pesos or 200 usd budget.

Complete BS done by the Philippine's House of Representative. It's really an unwanted move from those lawmakers, IMO they are like children doing non sense things in order to gain some fun. I felt sad about this news. I'm paying tax for them to have a decent salary and now this? Poor Philippines Sad

Note : I'm not a pro CHR and I also condemn them for not acting on some other issues. At some point, I noticed also that they are only focused on criminal's rights. I stated those words above because they didn't give chances for CHR to get improve or let have them cleanse and fix the errors.

This house of representatives is too dumb. Why we should trust our taxes to the government if they couldn't budget it properly. Our taxes is made for the development of country. For what is the purpose of our taxes if our human rights cost less than minimun wage. They just hate what commission of human rights are doing with criminals that is why. But it is not an excuse to put a very low budget on it.

Actually demolishing CHR office is unconstitutional thats why the only right thing to do is to give them almost 0 budget.
So the question is "Why they did it to CHR office"?
Because thia office failed to deliver the right services to the Filipino people.
What are human rights? Human rights includes:
1. Rights for good health
2. Rights for healthy foods
3. Rights for peaceful living
4. Rights for justice and so on.

This CHR office is redundant for the services given by other offices likes
1. Rights for good health by DOH
2. Rights for foods by DA and DSWD
3. Rights for peaceful environment by PNP and AFP
4. Rights for justice by DOJ, PAO and even by the Supreme Court

So do we think we need the CHR office?

That is a load of bullcrap. Even a person with no educational degree can know that, that is not enough for any instituition to serve its purpose. And it is very alarming that a lot of our representatives feel that way and is just a puppet to the country they serve. This is the end of humanity for some

That's horrible. Our government is trying to demolish the CHR by giving 1000Php budget for year 2018. CHR been serving Filipinos well.  But before we start an argument whether CHR is being biased, let's be informed first about the duties of CHR. Other argues, "where is CHR when drug addicts killed Innocent people?" It's a job of the police to investigate the case. But if the police killed innocent people, it's the time where CHR will act. CHR monitor the government if they are giving us our human rights so when politicians, government, law abused their power, CHR will move. So giving them 1000 is unreasonable.

HAPPY!! there will be no corruption!! i hope but still im wrong in the first place ..
commission of human right are funded with those corrupt people in the country that wants to manipulate the society ..
they dont need the 1000 pesos it will boost more money to them .. unstated in the law but still many will contribute .. then there will be more corruption in that agency.. oppositions will take the chance to grab the opportunity and as you will see CHR will be in every incidents where police are involve and people will not know that those crimes are planted by the enemy of the president of the republic .. they will just and always mislead those  cases against them by having other issues that will manipulate by main stream

this dude says it all, congress will not push it through if the institution itself is mot bias. they are clearly just attacking the government since those people who sit in that office is in side of the opposition that we all know that is trying to dethrone our president

This is evidently political harassment. I can't believe at the number of people who expect the Human Rights Commission to look into petty crime as well as others where other agencies of government should suffice.

Actually demolishing CHR office is unconstitutional thats why the only right thing to do is to give them almost 0 budget.
So the question is "Why they did it to CHR office"?
Because thia office failed to deliver the right services to the Filipino people.

1. Rights for good health by DOH
2. Rights for foods by DA and DSWD
3. Rights for peaceful environment by PNP and AFP
4. Rights for justice by DOJ, PAO and even by the Supreme Court

So do we think we need the CHR office?

Section 17. (1) There is hereby created an independent office called the Commission on Human Rights.

(2) The Commission shall be composed of a Chairman and four Members who must be natural-born citizens of the Philippines and a majority of whom shall be members of the Bar. The term of office and other qualifications and disabilities of the Members of the Commission shall be provided by law.

(3) Until this Commission is constituted, the existing Presidential Committee on Human Rights shall continue to exercise its present functions and powers.

(4) The approved annual appropriations of the Commission shall be automatically and regularly released.

Section 18. The Commission on Human Rights shall have the following powers and functions:

(1) Investigate, on its own or on complaint by any party, all forms of human rights violations involving civil and political rights;

(2) Adopt its operational guidelines and rules of procedure, and cite for contempt for violations thereof in accordance with the Rules of Court;

(3) Provide appropriate legal measures for the protection of human rights of all persons within the Philippines, as well as Filipinos residing abroad, and provide for preventive measures and legal aid services to the underprivileged whose human rights have been violated or need protection;

(4) Exercise visitorial powers over jails, prisons, or detention facilities;

(5) Establish a continuing program of research, education, and information to enhance respect for the primacy of human rights;

(6) Recommend to Congress effective measures to promote human rights and to provide for compensation to victims of violations of human rights, or their families;

(7) Monitor the Philippine Government’s compliance with international treaty obligations on human rights;

(Cool Grant immunity from prosecution to any person whose testimony or whose possession of documents or other evidence is necessary or convenient to determine the truth in any investigation conducted by it or under its authority;

(9) Request the assistance of any department, bureau, office, or agency in the performance of its functions;

(10) Appoint its officers and employees in accordance with law; and

(11) Perform such other duties and functions as may be provided by law.

Section 19. The Congress may provide for other cases of violations of human rights that should fall within the authority of the Commission, taking into account its recommendations.

They deserved it. Nothing more to say about this. These people think that human rights is only for gangsters and criminals.

In each and every country, these human rights groups pose danger to the public by blindly supporting the criminals. I am not a resident of the Philippines and definitely not a supporter of president Duterte. But I can see that the crime rate there has declined a lot. Perhaps that is the reason why the human rights guys are going ballistic.

That's what happens when you defile a president that everyone loves, Drug Dealers are very bad influence in the entire world, due to their want of getting rich quickly, they have destroyed and killed directly and indirectly, even though most deaths were a mistake, when you are fighting a drug war, there is bound to be causalities, I fully support the President.

Because of they doing always their job destroying our president and only government are they always investigate then what happen to the poor people they rape of drug addict and massacre actually they are blind for that.

Woah that's low. Much more cheaper than the average pay that i receive here in bitcoin. Where's the justice in that? They're working their ass off just to have that miniscule of a budget? If i were one of those people working there then i guess i'll have to quit. All of my efforts arent payed anyway so what's the use of staying there? Might as well just get involved in bitcoin.

If you read the story carefully, then you will understand that these human rights authorities went beyond their jurisdiction to put needless road-blocks to president Duterte's war on drugs. And we all know that Duterte is very short tempered. He gave them a warning first, and when they refused to obey even after that, he just destroyed their funding.

What can you say about the Phillippines' 1000 pesos budget for the Commision on Human Rights?

Congress is giving the commission a thousand peso budget because base on their rules, that is the minimum amount they can give as a budget.  They would be giving them nothing if possible.  The commission is so highly politicized and not doing what its supposed to.  So I think they don't deserve a thousand peso budget, they deserve nothing.
