I am about to purchase 3 Radeon HD 5970's, but I am unsure which manufacturer to go with. I found some really cheap refurb's from Visiontek, but I am concerned that maybe they aren't the best choice. Any recommendations?

I would go Sapphire, but only because theyre a good company and you can OC them pretty good.

Thanks Smiley Seems like almost everyone is out of stock Sad
I might be stuck with the Visiontek refurbs unless I can find someone with the card in stock that isn't $200 more per card Sad

visionteks are fine, they're all reference anyways, so essentially all the same cards. There are no nonreference 5970s

There's the Ares, that's sortof a 5970.

But other than that they're all reference cards, which means they're all made to AMD/ATI's spec by Foxconn in China.  All reference cards from both AMD and Nvidia are made by Foxconn.

Whatever you do, stay away from Powercolor at all costs.  It took them, no kidding, 4 RMA's to get me a working 5830.  I bought the card brand new and a month later it was artifacting like a National Treasure movie.  Took them 6 months to process all the RMA's and finally send me a working refurb...
