it is a scam imo, if you bail out like that it is hard to say it is not a scam. Those layers dont say if the money in reserve will be paid out at tokenowners or partcipants in the ico. So i dont understand why people still buying confido. > 8000$ today and +200% rise ..... lol

Did they already have their ICO and got a lot of money from it? If that is the case they should preset a plan B if the legal trouble can't be overcome and investors should be reimbursed.

It was a scam plain and simple. Whatever they are trying to do now is actually ensuring that people will forgive them for running away with a big wad of cash. The money they will return will be just 375,000 but what about the money they invested in their own coins like for example giving themselves huge bounty from the tokens and then selling it off. They made good amount of money and it is most likely saved in different wallets which they can go to when this whole storm is over.

The law firm which is representing them should come forward and release their pictures or atleast someone should file a police case and name the law firm along with it so the real identities can come out as soon as possible.

The approach you suggest would indeed be the exact right one. It will become clear very quickly that they have something to hide and which serious law firm in the world would take any responsibility for the mess going on here? Does this "law firm" even exist? Cheesy

The law firm exists and it is based in netherlands and they have posted a statement related to confido as well. Someone needs to out the identities of the people who contacted that law firm and i guess a citizen of netherlands can do that easily by making a few calls or just filing a criminal case against the firm. Its not about refund but about many people losing their money since the market cap was in millions.
Neither they have come out and told why they abandoned their development and why they lied about their pics and working in firms when the firms refute their claims.
I cant seem to understand what is their plan but for sure it is not good.

Someone told me that cofido after their scam-manipulation will return money to investors that paticipated in ICO. Is this real information, or just another rumour, and nobody will refund stolen money to defrauded membrs??

Let's hope for those better times when the exceptions become the rule and we can more reliably invest in crypto projects / ICOs.

It's real information. It's reported in the Dutch magazine Quote: http://www.quotenet.nl/Nieuws/Ethereum-cryptoschandaal-Confido-bewijs-dat-het-geld-niet-weg-is-207651

According to a Dutch law firm Jonkers en Van Gemert that specialises in cyber crime the funds are still available and will be refunded and this law firm confirm the message on http://confido.io

https://www.jonkersvangemert.nl/confido-announcement/

Hope it works out for those who invested.

It still doesn't solve the purpose. With 9 million coins and just 375,000 return, people will be getting pennies on the dollar invested. The ones who bought the coin when it was 30 cents or more are ruined by it. I am shocked that rules related to ICOs are so simple and this is infact creating a bubble. ICOs need to be regulated otherwise more and more companies will come and just ruin millions of new people who are trying to come in crypto market now.

there is still little volume on etherdelta if you want to get confido tokens.

Spending money to recover money which has already gone will be futile. Gamble never pays off atleast in scam projects. Even if confido is the best of the best projects, after this stint no one will ever try to put money into it; atleast no sensible person wont. The FOMO in crypto is so much that people are willing to throw in money for anything just to see that 10x within a month.

And there is also this never-ending list of alternatives so why bother with this one when there is a ton of other projects you can lose money on! Tongue

So people who bought bulk at 0.01 cents will be making 4x. Wow people making money from scams too with the only exception that it is more or less like blood money got from the scam victims. Anyhow business is business and someone's loss is another's profit.

I'm considering it.  But, to be honest, I keep feeling the buy back is a scam too Sad  e.g. after all coins are returned, the legal issue (whatever it is?!) will resolve itself and the project will re-emerge, with a much higher valuation.  As masternode points out above, I can't see how confido could recover after this stint.  I guess I am just being overly suspicious(?)  The refund equates to less than 1/10th my investment.  Feels like a kick in the face, as opposed to an honest refund.

Sorry Joost: your heart may be in the right place.  I'm just sore from how this all went down.  I sold Monero (when they were priced ~$100/each) to get into Confido.  That means my actual losses with Confido are much higher (since I probably would have just held onto my Monero instead of investing in Confido).

Anyways, that's enough complaining Wink  I have better things to think about than this.

there is an announcement that they gonna buy back the confidio tokens on Kucoin on December 23.

It can be found on their website. There will be a buy order to return all distributed tokens at a fixed price of 0.08$. Too bad i found this now, few days ago confidio was around 0.03 cents. Now its 0.06 cents, its too risky for me.

So if it was a scam why are they returning their money to investors?

Or if they are not scamming why they acted like that?

Anyway, at least investors will take their money back. I had some icos back then with no money back.

It was a scam, just a very good one. They bought and sold their own coins at a higher price and by giving the money back they are removing doubt from most of the people's mind that they are scammers. They made millions and returning 500k to ensure safety of themselves from the feds and different govts around the world. Paid a couple hundred k's to get a lawyer for the legal protection.
No lawyer would touch such a case but in crypto all the lawyers jump in since it is unregulated
its the easiest million bucks the scam team made. People may get lambo in future or not but they certainly did wthout doing anything and within a month! Well played scam team!
confido didn't stood for confidence but rather confiding of a scam among few people who were willing to do whatever it took to get rich.

If this project is dead, who is currently buying these tokens? There are some really big buy orders on Ether Delta.

it's a pump and dump movement in order to attract newbies or greedy people.

this coins is dead and ICO regulation is needed.
