Can anyone please tell me exactly how to hook up the EVGA 1300 to the Antminer S7?  Can it be done with only the cables that come with the EVGA 1300 or do I need to purchase splitters?  Only 6 VGA's on the EVGA 1300.  Thanks in advance.  This is my first set-up.

It is an S7, not S9.  Any advice?

EVGA 1300 G2 comes STOCK with 8 PCI-E connectors - 2"dual" cables and 4 "single" cables.

I don't remember offhand if the S7 needed 7 or needed 10 though.

Worst case, talk to EVGA about getting a couple extra of the "2 connectors on one cable" cables.

Correct - 2 dual and 4 singles.

S7 needs 10.

When I order more "duals" how do I arrange them?  The EVGA 1300 G2 only has 6 VGA's.

S7s use over 1300 watts, you might want to rethink your PSU choice.

Also, there are very few PC power supplies that come with even close to enough PCIe plugs as the S7 needs 10. They were never made to be ran with PC power supplies.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

S7 stock is rated for a hair under 1300 watts - but I agree that running one on a 1300 watt supply if you don't DOWNclock it quite a bit is a bad idea.

I suspect most of them on EVGA supplies were running the 1600 G2 or 1600 P2, or were the S7-LN model that only used around 700-800 range.

ATX power supplies are not designed to handle 100% load all the time.

Server power supplies in the other hand are.

The first 2 batches of 54 chip S7s maybe. The 45 chip batches were much less efficient and every one i have tested at full speed pulls more than that.

the evga 1300 g2 can't really  run an s-7 at full speed.

if the op has the ability to lower the speed on his s-7 to  about 4000 hash rate

he could do  2 cables per board

this setup would pull 4000 x .26 =  1040 watts

1040/6 = 173 watts a cable

@ op the advice above is pretty much how to run your s-7 on a 1300 evga

you would have a quieter machine if you do it.  and it would hash at 4000 vs 4800
