a bit more on that... i'm running pool software of my own, and i've made it to actually check whenever blocks get confirmed, not some hardcoded value that i've got to change here and there. and i'm also going to put share VARDIFF at some point. got some beta code for that stuff, but it has to get some more testing before putting it to production use.

Do you have Malwarebytes realtime protection running? I have it running and it is blocking some of the pool sites. If I disable malwarebytes, I can access the sites or go to another PC not running malwarebytes and can access the same sites. -tb-

Server location?
europe. the external pipe goes out at romanian ddos-protection provider, javapipe.com (voxility networks). though it is safe to mine from usa or other locations if your latency to the server (ping dgc.epools.org) is less than 200ms. stratum protocol is redundant to those latencies as opposed to longpolling.

why did you just double the price of cashing out coins at your site just now with no warning?
A .2 withdraw fee for manual and auto payouts is higher than any other site I have ever personally seen, and that even includes those that don't charge any fee percentage of mined coins. Its great that you opted to payout after only 5 confirms when creating the pool, but doubling the cashout fee with no warning seems to be poor form IMO.

i've just noticed some payouts gone with 0.2 tx fee, thus updated pool to reflect those. though that seems to affect less than a half payouts, so i'm taking that out back to 0.1. sorry for any inconvenience. i will check those transactions that were actually sent with less fee and refund corresponding accounts. again, that was done not to take any extra profit but to stop losses.

BIG POOL SOFTWARE UPDATE!
changes: * difficulty retarget ticker (may be inaccurate first few hours after last retarget) * i've changed pool's payout scheme to PPLNS. that should help miners with lower hashrates to get more stable payouts. * huge backend optimizations which lead to: - stats are now updating every minute instead of once in 3 minutes - stats web pages should now load like 10x times faster (almost instant!) - pool can now handle even more load while not breaking a sweat
stay tuned!
p.s. there still may be small interface glitches in stats, i'm catching & fixing those

I have 1.1 mh/s and I should get about 280 coins per day at the current diff, but I only get 150 coins... http://www.coinwarz.comMy Average coins/hr = 6.5 - mining about 2 hrs on your pool.

Wish I could join you pool but not getting paid like on Big Vern's pool ... could be because from AZ, USA ping to your server is not that great: over 200 ms
Ping statistics for 37.221.163.27: Packets: Sent = 175, Received = 175, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 194ms, Maximum = 910ms, Average = 222ms

200ms should be fine with stratum... it's just pool hashrate not big enough to cut the unlucky rounds.

Have just been using dgcpool.com guys and I have been getting ripped off, I have been mining over 12 hours and only got 28 coins... I had the same problem with wemineltc... Something is very a miss! I have 1400+ kh/s
WTF is going on?
Sorry I know this is not your pool op but couldn't find a thread for dgcpool...
So pissed off with this!
Edit: just to add I thought it was a bit wrong so I noticed my coins and how many blocks were yet unconfirmed, came back and some blocks had confirmed but no change to my coins!

Can I just ask how many coins would you expect me to get a day with 1400 kh/s? And can I try out your pool for a day and get you to look at my stats to see if you can see if something is wrong? I checked the calc and it says I should get 112 or something so 28 for over 12 hours is nowhere near what I should be getting...
Just don't understand it, I have never had these problems before...
Edit: I have joined your pool and hope you can help me get to the bottom of it... If I get problems on your pool then it must be something my end... If not then I don't know what to think... Btw if all goes well I will stick with your pool, it looks nice!

hey guys, drop some more hashrate to this pool! Hey fella, my average coins per hour seems to have dropped of a cliff over the last hour, do you know why that is? I did notice some notices in cgminer saying "lost 30 shares due to stratum disconnect" or something like that... Do you know what causes this? Cheers

Cheers stratum should not disconnect unless you had some local connectivity interruptions. i can't see anything bad on server graphs. and about lower payouts, that is due to a bad luck, that happens sometimes. you can notice some 3-5-10 minutes blocks in block stats, that's why payouts were slower that time.

Hmmm, well I am hard wired internet wise and not running anything else off it like youtube or such, just normal browsing... I didn't notice the 3-10 minute blocks and when I saw it, it was dipping up and down even though they were all 1-3 minute blocks... I was getting like 5.5 per hour but this went down to 2.5 at its lowest then hovered around 3ish for quite a while... It is still doing it now... I will reboot my miner and see what that does... Thanks for looking at it anyway, I guess there must be an issue my end afterall... Edit: rebooted and did an internet speed test... 39 ms ping 7 mb download but only 0.8 mb upload... Is there anything there that could be an issue? That upload looks rather pants... Edit: Can't say I can see any improvement since the reboot, though I haven't seen that stratum error (though haven't really been looking)... Still I have banked 17 odd in like 4 hours so much much better than before... I'll keep an eye on it anyway... I do realise that there is some varience with these things and that payout will go up and down, it just seemed to stay down even though the blocks were coming in thick and fast... I would expect it to start going back up but it went down some more then up and down, but never back to the 5 odds level I was getting before. Edit: Seems to be going back up again, might have just been the usual pool varience or due to the orphans maybe? Still a little concerned about the lost shares issue but I will look into that some more my end... Thanks again for looking into it for me... Edit: Okay I am getting some more stratum disconnects and I am checking internet while that happens, other sites load fine and snappy as usual but yours does not, i am fairly sure it is not my end. Is there a way we can illiminate the problem? Or find out for sure which end it is? Oh and the miner also reports that the stratum is not responding... Cheers bud

The issue is that the block stats lists the amount of each award I should receive. Even after all the confirms come in, it is not crediting coins to my pool account.
If you look at my transactions log, you will find that I cashed out 60 coins and then quit hashing on the pool for a few hours. This is the most recent transaction history it has for , despite doing a multiple hour mining session since then. I do not know why the payout owed is as low as it is, my estimated reward got REALLY low there towards the most recent blocks, but whatever.
From the most recent block #241,394 and the first block I participated in during the mining session in question (block 240,655) I have added every partial reward that I have been credited. This amount is 21.39297 DGC. Please note that I am still mining in the pool, so depending when you read this, there will be more DGC owed to me.
Please fix this ASAP.

Im going to have to mine somewhere else until this is resolved.
EDIT: I have tallied the entire DGC balance due to me from my multiple hour mining session where I have still been credited with zero coins. From the most recent block of #241,578 through the starting block of # 240,655 my block rewards total 28.20317 DGC.
I hope this is corrected soon. I speak highly about your pools not only on this forum, but also on multiple exchanges. I understand that earlier today there was site issues, and perhaps when you got the pool back online you messed up somewhere. Stuff happens. I have not lost faith in your services, but I DID have to hedge myself by mining at another pool until I know things are running smoothly again.
Feel free to private message me if it is easier to send my DGC to my address rather than crediting my pool account. Thanks for your help erundook.

I’ve patched stratum software at DGC pool so it should be able to squeeze a bit more blocks out of the network, doing less stales thus increasing miners payouts.

hey guys, I started getting about 40% DISCARDED WORK since two weeks ago on dgc.epools.org. Used to have normal discarded before that. High discarded rate shows in cgwatcher as a lower efficiency which is not the case on other pools.

No, CGminer defines discarded work as "work from block no longer valid to work on" , and I never got a an answer to how does cgminer determines discarded work..

was that related to the discarded work or the slow finding new blocks rate which caused the low payments ?

low amount of found blocks was related to the high amount of discarded work which was related to a stalled new block notifier thus not sending the new work to miners fast enough.

And you shouldn't, that is fine.
I was just wondering if its related to the problem.
If you are familiar with CGWATCHER it(discarted work) can be found at the "status" tab on version 1.1.3 and lower or at the report tab under "Current Mining Session". On some pools the discarded work rate could be at 0-10% or higher up to 40-50%..
forget it, im probably chasing a shadow..
