What are altcoins that are low-risk? Coins that would have 3-5% growth per annum?

You can invest in ethereum, litecoin, ripple and monero as this coins will give you higher profits if you can manage to hold them for a long term.

All altcoins is high risks.
But you can try waves (have great news).
Or kickico. Or wings.

Good luck!

For stable coins that increase in value slowly (for the most part), look at those that have passed the test of time like Litecoin or others like Ripple where the price can be somewhat controlled by the devs who have a vested interest in keeping the price from fluctuating wildly.

You could also try a staking coin if you just wanted accumulation.

With low risk comes lower rewards, but it sounds like you are okay with that. "Low reward" in crypto is still an amazing reward compared to most traditional markets. For these low risk projects, I'd either focus on a top 10 project on market cap or choose a good project that is between market cycles (i.e. stratis).

Ethereum and litecoin are the most risk free coins in the market. We can also add Dash, Monero to this list as well. All other coins have speculative prices.
I agree, especially on litecoin. If we look at historical snapshots of currencies on coinmarketcap, we'll see that litecoin has been around for a really long time. If we take a look at recent years, I would say that ripple, dash, monero, ethereum and for recent times waves have been rather stable and kept growing with time. Others are mostly just too new to judge and predict long-term IMO. The op is asking about 5% profit, I guess it's safe with coins mentioned above.
