Hello everybody!

Someone wanted to donate some bitcoins to me but I never worked with bitcoins before so I introduced myself a little bit into it and finally created my first wallet in Armory.

I posted a bitcoin address to the donator and (with looking up the address at blockchain.info) I saw he donated 0,0465 BTC to this address. Unfortunately I didn´t know I had to download the whole blockchain with Bitcoin Core to use my wallet in Armory as a online wallet. So I downloaded the whole blockchain, linked armory to it and now my wallet is online.

After that it show me my actual balance and it was set to 0,00 BTC. I thought I might have deleted my old wallet and created another one where the address I used wasn´t available, but I looked up all unused addresses in this wallet and the exact same address I gave the donator was shown up. I can still look up the address and it has a balance of 0,0465 BTC on it.

Now I ask myself, if the address got a balance of 0,0465 BTC on it, why it doesn´t show up in my wallet/transaction overview?

Greetings

Max

#Edit:

I just recognized, that my armory tells me, that it´s connected but it seems, that armory only is connected to 267897 blocks. I checked the status of the blockchain in bitcoin core and it tells me, that there 484067 blocks are synced. How I can fix this? I already reinstalled armory, restored my wallet and it still hangs on this blocknumber.

Hi,

You will probably be asked for log files to help diagnose the issue, but in the meantime you could try a few things.
First of all what version of Armory are you running? Ideally you want to be using 0.96.2.

The bad news is that the database that Armory has built is severely out of date and only has data up to mid 2013. The good news is Bitcoin Core at least sounds like it is running just fine and you should have the data you need locally.
If you don't mind waiting for it to complete, you can try rebuilding Armory's database. If you open up Armory and go to the help menu, then choose "Rebuild and Rescan Databases" that should get it going. That said, if Armory isn't set up to find the blockchain from bitcoin core correctly, this won't help much.

Not a dev, so this isn't gospel, just trying to learn and help where I can.

I've been having the exact same problem as the OP for some time now. Armory gets stuck on a particular block despite reporting that it is online and synced with Core. I've done all the rescan and rebuild options from the gui to no avail. The only way it seems to complete the entire chain is when I delete the databases folder in the AppData location. But it keeps happening. It's a real pain to have to fully rebuild and rescan about once a week. FYI, I don't always have Core/Armory running and it seems to happen whenever I've been offline for a couple days. Almost as if it will only read up to the last time I was online.

dbLog -- https://pastebin.com/QWf95A1e

Both expire in one month from this post date.

Here is a screenshot showing the discrepancy between Core and Armory:

Try upgrading to Armory 0.96.2

dbLog -> https://pastebin.com/y5GLLj2K

I meanwhile updated to Armory 0.96.2 and tryed to rescan and rebuild the database but it´s still stuck at 267897 blocks.

It doesn't look stuck, it looks like you only have that much block data. Start BitcoinQt manually, how many blocks does it show? Is it trying to sync past #260k?
