Its your choice and you do have the decision if you can able to take the risk on joining ICO but in my point I wont join as of the current state on where News is everywhere specially on ICO banning we cant really assure if those ETH we do have would able to recover or would lose even more.If you are on hesitation or doesn't sure on joining ICO then its better to hold off your eth than to possibly waste those amounts even more.

You shouldnt be worried about this, price will recover as it always does. I think it is a great idea also investing in ICos i was also thinking about this, mostly all good ICOs by entering market after a while have a price x2 or even more.

I'll wait it out if i'm in your situation. Only a couple of days just past since the start of the dip. Did you bought 50 eth with only $260 or you bought each eth at the price of $260?  You still have huge profit after the price is slowly declining so it's basically a win. Join an ico if that's what you really want it's your money anyways.

I'll wait it out if i'm in your situation. Only a couple of days just past since the start of the dip. Did you bought 50 eth with only $260 or you bought each eth at the price of $260?  You still have huge profit after the price is slowly declining so it's basically a win. unfortunately I did not perform in a gradual way I made this purchase from the point where ETH came in for $ 260 first. so the cost of each 1 eth is the same.there was just a momentary rise and an increase of 10%. if btc rise a little higher than now, should i sell what I have against the risk of falling ?If I think I have entered ico, I will have to wait a certain day. but I'm afraid that if it goes up again during that time and I can not catch the  raised price. You question is not properly clear to me. If you have bought 50ETH in exchange of 260USD, I would suggest you to hold it. Ethereum is a very good crypto according to me and has a good future. Hold it until you can get some profit (or zero loss in that regard) and then sell it - however that depends on how much anxious you are and if the thought of having lost some money is making you depressed.

However if you are desperate and going to join an ICO, I would suggest you to do proper research and analysis before you invest in any ETH based tokens. There are hundreds of ICO that are turning out as shitcoins and I would not want you to be a victim of that.

Personally I feel, if you have ETH, hold it for sometime till prices rise then sell it for some profit.

You will only be at a loss after selling so don't sell. It's very likely to see it going down but honestly, you bought a large amount so better continue to hodl, It may decrease in the short term because of exchanges closure but It will definitely comeback up. If you are still afraid then buy USDT but watch the price at all times, If you see that it started going up once again then starting buying (ETH).

The problem is, you bought it at $260 and current price is $217, maybe it will continue to decline due to following bitcoin falling down.
Sell-off isn't an option obviously, do not sell it but wait until next month, if you can. Because ethereum may come back over $300 later if bitcoin could recover. Invest in an ICO is a good idea as well, but just invest 1-10 ETH, do not invest more than that because you will wait a little longer to get profits after the ICO finished and the coin listed on a trading platform. It's just a game of time, how long you can wait until ethereum rise again? 1-2 months isn't so bad.

If you're worried that your investment in ETH may decrease in value, then I highly recommend that you stay away from ICOs.  ETH has at least established itself as a valuable crypto, making it a less risky investment than new coins.  I can't remember the context, but I thought I saw something in an article the other day about up to 90% of ICOs being frauds/scams.  That may have been in a particular country or some other specific setting, but either way, that's a very concerning number.  Do you really want to trade in an established crypto for something that may only have a 10% chance of not being a scam?

Not Generally all ICO's are scam but there are still some who do have future ahead but comparing them on ETH i can say that its too far away.In op if he did bought on that kind of amount and now the price have dip-pen as of the current state which it would normally decrease your investment or value of your holdings and as being suggested it better to hold it of as of now.

I did a little searching, and I think I got that 90% from articles that were stating what the Peoples Bank of China said.  So I guess you should take that with a big grain of salt.  A lot of people seem to think that there haven't been that many ICOs that have engaged in fraudulent activities globally; some speculate that the rate has only been that high in China.

In any case, risk and reward go hand-in-hand.  So you might get really lucky and hit it big with an ICO investment, but the chances aren't that great.  Furthermore, if you are going to invest in ICOs, be sure you do your research, and maybe invest in a number of them so you increase your chances that at least one of them will do well for you.

I absolutely agree with your comment. In these times where the major crypto currencies are collapsing. ICO are much riskier than already established currencies. ETH will recover from the shock soon.

Well, one of the reasons cryptocurrencies are decreasing in it's value is because ICO's are being named as scams, and there have been many that are like that ! If you are sure you want to invest in them, you should only risk what you can afford to lose. You may win as everything related to crypto is uncertain. If I were you, I would hold because I believe this is just a bad phase, as the some that already happened between 2009 and today !

I can't believe the price already dropped to $217. A few days ago it was just at $300 and lost almost 50% of it's value in less than a week. Crazy how volatile crypto still is.

If you're dealing with btc and eth, whose movements are pretty steady on a regular basis, big news and changes can make any short term traders nervous and anxious, which may result in a big loss.
