You need to solve it together with unemployment. Feeding unemployed people could be economically unstable in the long run.
If every healthy human in this world can grow his own food, this would be the best option. Unfortunately, it isn't easy to grow food in a desert.

So either develop some system to enable people to grow food anywhere on Earth or enable every individual to travel to another place on Earth.

Staying poor is really hard these days. You can sell newspapers, become an artist, become someone's maid or waiter, ear online for doing various tasks.
Someone people don't want to work hard and throw poverty as an excuse to claim money from others. When they run low on balance, they start revolting to halt the country's progress to seek attention. It's not easy to give away money to the poor. Some won't even thank you. Some will frown at you if you give them less than their expectation.
It's better to give money to those who are trying their best. Fox news does that.
To those saying to take money from the rich and transfer to the poor, go throw away all your dad's money. Not every rich is spendthrift. They've seen hard days but they didn't resort to begging.
Those who can't earn won't survive.

The only real solution is to reduce the population. Look at the countries which are facing famine and hunger. Most of them are located in the Sub Saharan Africa and the middle east, where the population growth is above 3% per year (i.e the population is doubling every 20 years). I am talking about countries such as Afghanistan, Yemen, Niger and Somalia. These nations need to practice population control.
