I take screenshots of Coinmarketcap every now and then so that after 10 years I can make a post on this forum and shock everyone with all the bargains that we're available then.

Anybody else do this for fun?

that is a cool idea, and as a BitcoinHolder i am all for these kinds of long term stuff.

and i don't want to disappoint you or anything but what you are storing is already available online Roll Eyes
for example you can visit any exchange that gives you historic data and use that to draw a line chart or even like poloniex get the OHLC data and draw an OHLC chart.
example for XMR from their API doc:
https://poloniex.com/public?command=returnChartData&currencyPair=BTC_XMR&start=1405699200&end=9999999999&period=14400

there is also bitcoinity where you can get market cap or price and other stuff in CSV format (only for bitcoin though).

Web Archive - Some screenshots can be taken from Internet Archive site, you do not need to do this directly

If you want to see the history of the site and its contents. go and look now or 2 years ago which date you need you can do

Maybe not Coinmarketcap, but I did take some screenshots of my Ethermine payout page a few times over the course of the summer. Doubtful mining profitability on any coin will reach those levels again, but you never know, after all this is crypto.

What a nice idea. Why not take a picture along with your laptop or computer monitor screen, so that it includes the model and brand of the device that you are currently using, it adds some cinematic photography. Maybe you can add some picture of bitcoin related clips, news and events.
