Guys,

2 cents from a pool operator who has migrated coins over to new servers personally.

This process does take a bit, you either have to FTP all the blockchains over to the new server or have them resync through the nodes.  We migrated over 50 coins and it took the new server 2 days to sync with all the coins networks.

CoinsMarkets has 100's of coins, so you can imagine this is going to take longer.

We personally have no affiliation with the pool other then exchanging coins with them, and agree their support should be updating the customers.  (They really need a PR manager).

But lets sit back and give them a few more days without jumping to conclusions.  If they are really self hosting their is considerably more config that need to happen.  Hopefully they will learn their lesson and migrate the live site to the cloud then cut it over.

F**king bulls**t!

Had placed an order to buy another $1.3k worth of COLX at $0.010 and now it is already at $0.017416!
Are they going to compensate for the lost opportunity?!

Withdrawing everything out this piece of s**t the moment it goes live.
Rather take my coins elsewhere!

So far my experience has been less then stellar. I know how tough things can get. it's why I don't curse names and blah blah blah. Though it wouldn't be smart to continue to use them regardless how hard one works. I work hard for my money too. When i can't access it, it's a problem. Nothing to do with stupidity, programming faults or anything and everything. It has to do with my comfort level with my money in their hands. If anyone really has issues with people that feel that way, they can go F themselves really. When these type of exchanges are backed by insured companies comparable to today's financial institutions, I will happily sit back and relax. Panic, curse, it's up to you. All it does for me is use other exchanges.

CM is offline for the 4rth day now. Thats a decade in crypto.. Wake up.
We cant stake, trade, tranfer, deposit, we lost countless selling oport. in other exchanges, now that the prices are blooming, there isnt support, pr , email.. nothing. They prove themselves as totally amateurs once again. As soon as they re-open withdraw everything asap..
And we can curse as loud as we can. We have every right..

What worries me the most is that even though this whole situation might not have been a scam and let's say they are having a legitimate issue, by now they must realize that once they open the door 80% of the coins are going to be withdrawn from their exchange.

I can image that a thought of running away with the coins must have crossed their heads at least once... and people screaming that they are scammers and recommending to withdraw coins immediately are not helping the situation. It's fucking tough, I know, I am in the same boat with everybody (have around 800$ worth of coins there). But lets not loose our cool, because it is only going to worsen the situation. What calms me down is that it is not the first time they are having problems with their site, I remember reading that in September that had a week of downtime, lets hope they are not going for Personal Best here Cheesy

Coinsmarkets should not worry about this. Anybody that withdraws their coins will realise their mistake quickly. It appears to be a legitimate issue and this exchange was doing well until then.

It has something for everyone. Cool

When is it going to be back up? Do they have an official thread on Bitcointalk?

i don't think that this twitter handle is legitimate

My theory about the lack of information like adress, tweett, etc, its because they know they arent that good in comparasion with other exchanges, and they know they can be hacked and if they are hacked they dont want to have problems w/ autorithes  a pay everyone, if that happen they just run away. With each passing day you can see that they are working on the site, be pacient!

And the link to withdraw just dont work, because they know as soon they finish the site, 50% of coins already gonne and they need that to keep working.

They are hiding from community.
It's undestandable.
Only questiom is why?
Because they scam or because they still can not migrate to new servers (second version is not looking credible because 1 week is very long interval to complete all site works)

Not too sure whats happening with CM at the moment, I just tried logging on and was unable to do do (no real surprise) but hopefully things are moving as said in the twitter post someone posted above, providing its genuine of course.

I seem also to have lost the chat box, dont know if thats just me though, I have tried to access it via Chatango too and coinsmarkets appears to no longer be there. If it has been removed it may be to try and stop us from flaming each other and making things worse as the bots etc were starting to get a bit out of hand.

I know that troll box had become exactly that, but I did actually get involved in some useful and interesting chats with you guys and I kind of miss it already. They say that in times of hardship people pull together and i did get the feeling that some of us did, some were just out to p£$% everybody off but that is the way things.

I for one am still hopefull that things will be sorted and we will get back online, as i still cant get my head round if it was an exit why not pull the plug and go why the charade? why pretend to be doing something? After all its not like any of us know who the owners are or where they live.

Fingers crossed and I hope to see you guys back online soon.

we are not scam , we moved on new server ,
not easy to setup all from scratch . we will be back and very very soon
here is the site working already on main server, but remain disabled until we finish updating DB  with all manual withdrawal , syncing wallet .etc
This is interesting . this message from september
But now the administration of coinsmarkets forgot that they have account on bittalk
