Site registration says California, other people have seen Netherlands.

Well, I was thinking about solid evidence Smiley
Few days ago someone created fake profile on twitter and everyone was thinking is legit because URL to CM was there Cheesy

And address in NL is fake Cheesy
So, basically not much of solid point of reference, that is why I'm laughing when people say that will chase them Cheesy

I lost money too and trying to stay rational and logical.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Possible they're sending the funds to the new servers? We all know how slow crypto transactions can be.

Hell just the PACcoin wallet took like 6 hours to sync for one wallet.

Some people suggest they're taking money and making nodes, some people suggest they're taking it and running.

It most certainly seems like it would be easier to make hundreds of millions over time with every transaction and sleep good at night than to make off with a lump sum and have to watch your back the rest of your life. Given the history of crypto and silk road, i think they would not get far before revenge comes.

trying to stay positive. 60% of my capital gain is here.

I wonder how you find them in case it will turn to be scam Smiley
For now nobody even knows which country to look at haha Cheesy

I wish it will come back, but if it won't I don't think you will be able to identify these guys even Cheesy

This isn't a decentralized exchange like ether delta. Metadata matters. I don't have the ability to retrieve it, but I can almost guarantee that someone invested on the site probably does. To think otherwise is a fallacy. To think that you can make off with hundreds of millions of other people's money in a market largely fueled by the darkweb probably isn't the best idea. Wink

Can you show these on blockchain or only as records from database? Smiley
I guess good method to keep people thinking it will be back Smiley

That proves nothing really, except that someone added some records to database.

Agree with you. I think that deposits are gone. It's better to accept it.

Problem I have for example is that wallet on blockchain shows initial transfer of coins which was smaller than final balance I had on CM.
So, I wonder how come and also indicates that transactions made on exchange were either done virtually in database or on different wallet than originally transferred coins.

My litecoins are still there.

https://scontent.fceb2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/26731095_10156013096896613_3254635241600462653_n.jpg?oh=7f05b87dfe040c67d2bd600dd6a49814&oe=5AFF3F00

I think they transfer them to one single wallet when you transfer your currency to them. Same reason why there's a wallet in Verge that has billions in it. This is to save transaction fees. Otherwise, realtime trading of bitcoins would be impossible.

So your balance on the exchange sites are based off of their database.

My litecoins are still there because they probably didn't transfer it to their wallet anymore because there'd no longer be any trading while the site was going to be down for upgrades.

Correct me if I'm wrong here anyone.

Even if this exchange is honest, it's too late to come back from now.  There will be an epic rush to sell everything and transfer out, which will crash it again.

Also, people did random trades and withdrawals during the outtage so you can't just reset everything to 7 days ago.  They are probably scammers but even if they are legit, they are beyond fucked trying to put this all back together.

Hmm... than it's strange as blockchain shows original balance on address I transferred to from wallet on PC.
Then I bought ore coins on exchange and these are not in wallet address I had on CM.

So, what you said would partially match reality... as at some point original coins should be transferred somewhere.

It's interesting and shows that we need to learn more about coin exchange an dhow it works Smiley

You can't do anything as all wallets are down. I sent screen few posts ago.
So, all transactions are virtual only in database.

No wallets online, no real transactions I guess.

We can only hope.

Like they said. Running off with people's money from mostly the dark web, unwise lol. The website had 4mil(?) in traffic. Imagine running off with millions of dollars worth of cryptocurrency from 4 million different people with different backgrounds. They were smart enough to build a website like that, they should be smart enough to realize they'd make just as much money from transaction fees if they ran the website after the upgrades to accommodate millions of customers.

How else are you going to get balances from one server to another? Teleportation?

Copy wallet file and blockchain data?

You can easily copy wallet file from linux masternode to windows wallet and use it... so why would you transfer it through blockchain if you can simply copy paste file?

Who knows. You'd think if they were going to make off with other people's money they'd be better covering their tracks though since we're all seeing this.

Or maybe it's not what it looks like and we're just spreading FUD.

Positive or negative, we can't change the situation. We can change how we look at it though. I can honestly say I've tried to log into the site today about 30 times to get said "email" sent to me, and I got an actual "live" site many more times today than I did yesterday.

It makes zero sense to run away with a larger lump sum when you can make significantly more by continuing to run the exchange. It's like playing Deal or No Deal, and you taking the 100,000 prize when the 400,000 500,000 and 1,000,000 are the only ones left on the board.

We don't know their financial situation and we don't know where they live.  They might have gambling debts, or they might have chosen a random number to cash out at.

People have been having troubles with this exchange for over 2 weeks.  Support doesn't respond to anything ever.

Also, this site never had any Google 2Factor options or anything like that.  Even the worst exchanges have that.

The only information I passed was an imgur link showing I was able to login and confirm my balances and see the rotating messages. Like everyone else is doing, it is a wait and see. Give them their time. I'd rather 100% up and running than 95-98% (even if they are not at this point yet).
