What was the biggest technical hurdle you ran into?

Some parts of software are useless so removed. Integration was with bitcoind(somewhat) but it required bitcoind should be run continuously. So I finished it there because running on java is not a good idea. I am looking for some php alternative. So stopped there and deleted everything Tongue

You might consider mailing on the bitcoinj mailing list to see if anyone was interested.

Bitcoinj is written in Java so the integration might be easier.
Bits of Proof - which is more server oriented - is also in Java I believe. That is open source.

There are various closed source server side solutions written using Java (blockchain.info, BitcoinSpinner) so it is definitely doable.
