for me invest at ico is a unique way, we dont know the developer will do it or not, but sometimes we need more than 2year to gget big revenue like ethereum.

This time a lot of people are seeing the icos as the place to trade their money for huge profit, because after the token already listed in the exchange site and there will be a short pump at the early start.

First I check out the project. If I like the idea and think they have a shot at becoming big, I check out their website and try to find more info on slak (that's also a way of finding out whether the ICO is a scam or not). Then I try to find out how popular the project is. if everything fits, i buy!

- Looking into the team behind the altcoin (developers, CEO's, marketing, finance etc and their experience)

- The white paper needs to make sense, be full of information and no skimp on numbers, concepts, data, how they plan to achieve their desired outcome etc.

- The overall concept. If they need an altcoin or not. If they are only doing this for an ICO, stay clear.

- Their social media and connection to the potential investors. If they are creating their own content, not just buying articles and not focusing on growing a community. If I go onto their bitcointalk thread, do i get to communicate with them and do they reply to my questions.

Once these have been checked, I have a think and then decide to go forward, not bother or if i am in the middle, get involved in a bounty campaign to see how they operate.

For me, ICO is a good long term investment knowing that eth and other altcoin start from being ICO. The tokens starts from about $0.1 and can grew upto $100/coin for about a year or two and now thats promising for me. To know if the tokens will have a value in the future a read their white paper, I also know their market and what this token can do that will make it in demand just like in the case of bitcoin. Ofcourse this type of investment is risky but I see it, it is really rewarding after you gain from it.

Dude, you can make so much money on Ethereum right now. Whales and devs are collecting Ethereum so they can get Rich.

The skills to take huge risk losing money due to invested in the ICOs, it is final to decision to invest in the ICOs or not in my mind, many investors blamed the ICOs are scam due to they can not calculated the risk losing money investment in the ICOs, and I always made investment on many projects ICOs, it's set the minimal risk losing than all in one ICOs but everyone has method for anticipate it when investing in the ICOs. at least that's my way.

Risk will always be there but at last you just have to see that the idea will be feasible or not. Is it solving any major problem of human being or not. If the idea is unique and is solving some problem which has not been solved by any other project then it will be less risky to invest in that ICO.
