I use Tor,but not for gambling or for illegal sites, but to visit any websites anonymously (for privacy reasons and not leaving my IP)
It seems to me that it is an illusion of anonymity. Tor cannot protect you. This browser hides your ip address but if you wish you can track. For example, you can try to cheat Google. Or to check on a special website your level of anonymity while using Tor browser.

As quite a few of you gamble in cryptos casinos from countries where gambling is forbidden, I was wondering if you use TOR to hide your identity. Or if you use it as well, even if you don’t gamble, to avoid your movements being traced when operating with btc and other cryptocurrencies.
I doubt that you cant use tor when it comes on accessing gambling sites because once you do set the strongest security of your privacy then it would really turn off some things on your browser which usually on Java thing and to know that some of them would really require this thing for it to run or display. If you do try to input a certain gambling site and you do able to play since it displayed well then youre at luck but I do believe than it would really be on smaller chances because most of the time you would really experience problems accessing them.

Some people use it because they think it's cool, and there are some available guides on how to do it

Yes, I use Tor when i need to surf from another country. As i'm not a tech specialist, i usually use this solution for easy surfing.

Do you lived in a country where Internet is censored or somewhat controlled by your government? Because you can browse or surf from around the globe without using Tor.

I only used Tor once or twice. Just for experienced to see how dark web looks and feels like. Well others used it to hide and protect their privacy. But as far as online gaming for me, I don't used it because I lived today in a country where Bitcoin is legal in a sense, same as online gambling.

Yes, but less than most people might assume, lol.
My most common use of Tor is on open wireless networks.  I know too much about how easy it is for someone with a Raspberry Pi in their pocket to scrape every unencrypted password off the unencrypted WiFi and analyze it all at his or her leisure, and Tor encrypts that first hop.

I'm no expert here, but from what you are saying, its easy to hack someone if he/she is using Tor on Wifi? So it really defeat the purpose of being private and secure using Tor?
He does mean on certain sites that do have country restriction which he can easily make use of Tor to bypass it which is a normal usage of this web browser which do actually helps for you to be untraceable and would hide your true IP. Ive been using this stuff not only on accessing restricted gambling sites but also on surfing into those deeps. I'm an explorer and would like to read up something new out there.

its not really worth the risk and hassle (using tor). to be honest, it is clear that regulators are not yet cracking down on bitcoin gambling, they could shut the site down overnight and seize the funds, the rest is just sorting through who is who (there is the blockchain, a public ledger, and the better of the casinos do basic kyc to cover their asses).

so the best thing you can do at the moment is simply enjoy it while you can. this is clearly illegal, yet there has been no official guidance yet. thrive in the void.

but i think it is unwise to leave winnings on a gambling platform while you are using them, due to my above argument. you never know when the situation will change, and the ease of moving btc off platform will make you feel like an idiot if you fail to do so.  much like an exchange, dont leave funds on a hosted wallet.

be careful.

The reason I started using it was that I was watching the movie ,which has consistently been included on "most disturbing movie".  I wasn't familiar with the deep web, and that led me to Tor.

I once used tor to help my friend to win in the online voting. But this is child's play. It seems to me that using the tor browser creates more chances you have to protect yourself from hacker attacks. He keeps changing ip and tangle the traces of your stay online. But it's still not 100% protection.

from time to time, but as far I know it isnt as safe as always told it is. Friend of mine told me whoever is controlling the end knots can find out who was the first IP in the system and it, according to him, many of them are owned by united states government..

Its not really necessary to use tor on accessing bitcointalk since you can still use your own regular browser because you arent being restricted on accessing the site.Theres no prohibition unless if your country do have strict implementation on accessing bitcoin-related websites then this is the time you do make use of ToR but as of now i havent heard such country do make prohibitions on this site. For gambling site yes it has but for this forum i doesnt.

I can easily access all the sites I desire to visit without proxy so never found an reasons to use Tor, also Tor has proven to reduce speed of the users and I don't like to comprise with my speed. So, never installed Tor browser yet and I have read that people use tor mostly to do illegal activities but thankfully I am out of such things. Hence, in any situations I don't felt like switching to tor browser leaving my current browser.

It totally depends on what I want.If I want to access torrent sites, many of which are blocked , or for general web access with more privacy, VPN is used. But when I want to browse censored informations and do or watch some illegal stuff, I use TOR. The thing with TOR is, never login to any regular web accounts you have, as that site will understand you are using TOR and may let surveillance authorities of your country to monitor you.

I heard this though on youtube and on an article that it said it tor or the deep web browser , it used for illegal stuffs though , so I don't use tor for just like this and I don't tend to buy illegal stuffs by bitcoin , and I'm not a gambler. It's scary though exploring the deep web cause you can see many stuffs that are illegal it give me goosebumps when I search it the facts about tor or the deep web.

No , even though I like too I can't cause I'm afraid don't you know that TOR used by many criminals , hackers , and terrorist , because they transact anonymously , and I've seen some footage that giving me hard time to sleep so I wouldn't dare to access that website. Without proper knowledge you can be detected and the most scary is where you track down by the FBI.

Youre just completely bumping a thread sleeping for 2 months and entirely replying non-sense thing on here. Tor is not just purely a deep web browser which being created for that sole purpose only. This is just a typical browser that do have its own capabilities and features when it comes to anonymity but not entirely a hindrance for you on to use it since its your own decision if you do decide to go deeper or not. Accessing gambling sites using these services is a common way even just on vpn browser of common web browsers like opera mini do have their own vpn feature.

TOR is good for some bans in some countries. But you can be tracked in some cases.
TOR alone is not enough. And there's that, us black suit people ruining TOR nodes.

not because:

Connection less reliable, can be sooner or later even though our Bandwidth is big
Can not be used for p2p Applications like Torrent
By default Tor only protects the default Application. We can use other apps to use Tor Browser, but for the novice user use Tor rather tricky
