Do you think Dapps will ever outnumber Apps?

Curious how far people think the dapp revolution will go. There are certainly a lot of use cases, but I am often torn over how many things are really better off decentralized.

I personally think it will.

DApps give much more opportunities for devs, they are more transparent for users and can provide the awesome experience for everyone.

Even now we see, that there was a boom in DApps in the second part of 2018 and I am waiting for the future exposure of this sector.

And it is cool because with DApps we see such projects, which we would never see in the regular app. For example Tokenville and its sub-project Crypto Treasures of Mann O'Taur. Creators of the project connected comics with blockchain (erc-721 tokens) and it looks really nice!

The topic isn't new, but the question is very reasonable. I doubt that there will a high demand in Dapps in future. As for me there are very few use cases really should be based on blockchain. But nevertheless there is a high chance that now we can't even imagine the future and technologies which we will use in 5-10-20 years. I like an example of Andreas Antonopoulos about streaming money approach, which will probably need some kind of Dapps basis.

For me big future behind IOT, there is need total security to prevent control by 3rd persons technics in your home, dapps give this opportunity

The longer I think about it, the lesser amount of reasons are saying "no". Dapps might not be technological masterpieces, but they open up an absolutely new way of thinking about the current system and how they would improve this state. Is it really necessary? Fifteen years ago, no one would say "hey, do you think that mobiles will eventually turn into pocket size computers?" Yet here we are. The future is certainly uncertain  () and the possible outcomes relies on many factors we can not analyze yet. Anyway, I am down for it, make it happen!

In my opinion, dApps will become popular in 2019 when a lot of ICOs completed in 2018 will launch their product. I have seen that some projects are working so hard and their products will be released soon.

Dapps are witnessing huge migration from users/developers and Dapps are here to stay, it decentralization solves various problems such no downtime or insufficient network capacity, it is also safe to use in terms of privacy.

But not all of platforms are understand about what's the deficinition of decentralized apps. I guess it needs the more research to get the more potential from the dapps and blockchain. It's not easy to implement it dude.

maybe some day but it won't happen for many years. so far we only have a handful of DApps, maybe only 3 or 4 if we are too strict about it and the rest of what you see which are also calling themselves "DApps" are mostly bullshit and not doing anything. it is like writing a "hello world" code in different languages and calling it an "application" and compare it with something big and useful like an operating system!

I think people will get more and more creative with dapps. Everyone from large enterprises to smaller companies. Moac mentions they have 500 dapps being built on their platform by June 2019 so i've been keeping an eye on that one. Time will tell.
