I don't think there is an answer unless Satoshi comes up personally with some evidence that he is really him.   But I do hope he is willing to be out.  He will surely be a great rallying face for Bitcoin.

If you ever see a later Last Active date on Satoshi's profile than December 13, 2010, 04:45:41 PM you will know he has been back. Cool

I suspect he has a reason for not wanting to not be known.

What if he has a family, would that put his children at higher risk for kidnap for ransom? Things like that.

That might be why he stopped posting, too much risk of leaving evidence that could point to him.

Let him be is my thought.

i still don't understand why the knowledge of his identity would hurt him...its not like hes a wanted felon or criminal, he just invented a program like thousands of other people...he doesn't even own the "rights" to bitcoin so at the end of the day he's just like any of the other developers Huh
