I see many post saying it's a wast of time for home miners and post that say you can still turn a profit.

In my area I pay 10.06c/kw, is this doable ?  I already have the power in place to run these, just need to get a PDU.

Sorry for the noob question

Thanks

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

okay  a 30 amp 240 volt circuit    gets derated 80%  = 24 amp

6 amp per s-9

means you can run 4  s-9's

below is a next to perfect way to setup 4 s-9's  even though for that thread he wants to mine other stuff the power parts work for you.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2192299.msg22020934#msg22020934

so 600 + 4 x 1600 = 7000usd

do I think  it would make a profit maybe maybe not.

if price stays at 4k and growth = 2%    yes unless gear breaks
if price stays at 4k and growth = 3%    yes unless gear breaks
if price stays at 4k and growth = 3.5%  maybe yes  if you sell your gear at the right time.

Thanks  for the input.  Sounds like I may be better off just investing the 12K in something else, unless someone else has some more info.

Thanks

well you could argue  buy 3 coins  for about 3900 + 3900 + 3900 = 11700

put them in an exchange  and put them up for  sale at

first for  4900
second for 5900

⅓ for 6900

if they go up    in a year you get

4900
5900
2300

13100 back and still have ⅔ of a coin
