It's loud. Like aircraft. But you can change native fan to a silent one.

In most cases changing the fan doesn't help with making the miner more quiet.

There is a reason why they are 82 db. Do not change the fans. I suggest you to put some foam to contain the noise to other places.

as far as i know loud noise could also rises additional heat, aside from air ventilation is there any mods of the miner to minimize noise and heat like putting large heat sinks on ASIC chips or water cooling mods. does anybody try this modifications, the lesser the noise and lesser the heat could make the miner more efficient and so as the reduction electricity bills.

Don't change those fans ! They there for a reason. You can change the fan's speed on the miner settings page after you logged in .There is a option called " Customize the fan speed percentage " you can set the fan speed to lower % there , then your miner going to be more quite bc the lower rpm the fans running, but your boards , asic chips temp will be higher , you facing a reduced lifetime for your miners bc the heat.

Its depends on which ASIC you want to buy.
Some of the older ones are quieter however most of the new ones are very loud.

Any modern ASIC is comparable to a vacuum cleaner. You'd likely not want them in your living room or anywhere near you. Basement or garage is a good starting point. You can't change the fans or do much about the noise, either, nsince they need to be loud as Bitmain and other companies' miners rely on static pressure to push air through their very tight packed heatsinks. Lesser fans just can't do it.

I have not yet had the opportunity to hear an ASIC or even a serious mining rig,,, but I can tell you that even my old computer from 1990s was running at a painfully loud sound whenever it was very hot. And I have seen computers at a cafe making sounds almost like truck engines when gamers are hammering away at them for hours.
If vacuum cleaner sounds are all they make, I am actually quite surprised.

You never mentioned which one. There are some that are pretty loud. It is a sort of constant sound that you might get used to, but it is kinda like having an industrial fan in the room with you. You could build some kind of sound buffering enclosure, but then the heat will go up.
