What is the meaning - all the strife?

The child is gone - innocent crime

One day I wake to the sound of lies
What once was wrong is now my life
The wicked strive on words of bias
Devouring the souls of mindless cowards

We weep, we cry - downward we spiral
Dreams forgotten, lives in shambles
For once we taste the bitter sweet
Our hearts entomb, full of deceit

But far away what once was ours
A figment - of everlasting life
Chasing a dream which cannot be gotten
Just like the truth once it's forgotten

The end is near, our fate is sealed
Of our own device; souls dilute & spirits deplete
The only life out of this certain Death
Lies deep beneath - with worms and fear

The fate for evil once waked, too clear
The path to death is oh so near
But hope resides within us all
For the pure of heart, the child - will hear the call

Man, haiku downright makes me angry.  It's the fecal paintings of poetry.  It's bullshit slapped on a piece of paper with no rhyme reason which any utterly talentless troll can write just for the sake of saying you wrote a poem.

When I read a haiku poem I actually get angry inside. 

That's the test for whether something is real art or not - be it music, a painting or poetry. 

Real art makes you feel at peace inside while fake bullshit art makes you wanna tear shit up.
