Hello,

http://blockexplorer.com/q/getdifficulty returns 1379223.4296725

Block details shows:

Difficulty: 1379192.288228 ("Bits": 1a0c2a12)

Why they are different and which one is correct?
Creating a Bitcoin client that fully implements the network protocol is extremely difficult. Bitcoin-Qt is the only known safe implementation of a full node. Some other projects attempt to compete, but it is not recommended to use such software for anything serious. (Lightweight clients like Electrum and MultiBit are OK.)

The first link is the current difficulty on the network, the specific block details you linked was the difficulty when the block was generated.

For example, the genesis block shows a difficulty of 1 Smiley

Difficult of 1, if only I had known about bitcoin back then...  Cheesy

Yes, but at the time I made the post this was the last block and the current difficulty. I think that they should match.
And the difference between them is just 31.1414445.
