Right, im not sure what im doing wrong but it seams that different bios mods copying straps from 1:1500 & 2:1500 all way to the top 1:2000 & 2:2000 setting TDP from 145W to any lower value, underclocking under volting in bios DO NOTHING to my Sapphires RX580 Nitro+ 4GB Hynix what the hell i am doing wrong now GPUz shows around 128W gpu only and i have 130MH/s on 5 gpus with beta mining Amd drivers from AMD site.

Only one thing i can see that on standard setup no underclock & undervolt im having 23mh/s per gpu and about 150W GPU referring to GPUz

How i can get 29Mh/s@110W per card.

Is there is a MUST to find best possible clock values(unique for every one of us/gpus) and voltage to get it as im expecting ?

Also in GPUz it shows that undervolting memory did not work it shows aroud 1.1v when in wattman i set 900mv

Can any one please help me to find solution?

please dont share here what speed you mining without setting clocks&voltages its useless

WattTool doesn't work with the beta blockchain drivers. You should be able to get 29 MH/s+. Try the PolarisBiosEditor v1.6 'one-click timing patch' bundled performance strap. With the PBE bundled strap, 1150 MHz core clock, 2050 MHz memory clock, -96 mV underclcok and -15% power limit in Afterburner I get 29.5 MH/s ETH and 945 MH/s DCR dual mining on a Sapphire Pulse RX 580 4GB with 125-145W shown in GPU-Z.

https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditor

Use Afterburner v4.4.0 beta 16 to set the clocks and undevoting.

AMD cost effective but not so flexible, I guess you are mining ETH?

I just received 5 of these. Mine came with Elpida memory... I wish I received Hynix... it's a lot easier to get up to speed/stable in my experience.

I have found solution !!!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin

Im running some test now and at the beggining Clymore shows 30,8 MHs Ethminer shows 26Mhs GPUz shows 97W GPU im gona set all things up  on my 5x RX580 Nitro+ 4GB Hynix and show results here if its stable or not

Here is what i did

5x Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ 4GB Hynix

First of all i have installed drivers.  Win10-64Bit-Crimson-ReLive-Beta-Blockchain-Workloads-Aug23 from official AMD site

Then Bios.

Bios switch - little sitch on my GPU moved to the Outputs (hdmis dvi)

Then i flashed bios. the one from Anorkas site powersaving bios with little mod.See pic.

https://image.ibb.co/eEPnEF/Polarisbios_img.png

GPU& MEM voltage modified also TDP and straps are copied from 1:1500  up to 1:2000 and copied from 2:1500 up to 2:2000

after that i just restarted PC

i went to watmann on my radeon driver settings driver setting and i OC GPU and MEM manualy GPU-1170mhz MEM-2100MHZ(crash on 2150 and higher also for 2100 extra cooling helps so it's more stable) - voltage values i left AUTO

IN ethminer i set

ethminer.exe -G -F http://eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:80/MY WALLETT ADDRESS/MY RIG NAME/MY EMAIL IF I WANT TO --cl-local-work 256 --cl-global-work 16384
pause

value --cl-local-work 256 --cl-global-work 16384 should help i did not tryied without it to see if it rly helps

My results are in ethminer test mode im mining 28MHs each gpu, and now my 5x RX580 rig is taking from the wall around 730W where before mod it was 920W si its nearly 200W less !!!! Im happy with that

dwarfpool shows me that my rig is mining average 140MHs sometimes higher sometimes lower but its doing good job mining at that speed and using 200W less !!

sonn ill do some tests on Claymores

So far if i try to mod some CLocks and Voltages on claymore command line it crash!! so just do

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool POOL ADDRESS:PORT -ewal WALLET ADDRESS -epsw x

CLaymore and settings IMG
https://image.ibb.co/hPKCEF/clymore.png

BTW : i have 2 minning rigs ETHMINER on 5x RX580 and claymore is on 4x RX580

If that helps them im happy any questions please ask

Do you want to buy me a beer feel free ! Smiley

so you modified the anorkas powersaving bios? was this what got you to the 30+Mh/s? Can you share the bios?

Sure PM me.

You can also do this on your own backup your bios using atiflash then open it in Polaris bios editor(make sure it's right ver and reads clocks properly) put same values what I did (first image) and then save as different file.
Use atiflash again to program GPU card with moded bios and  after its completed reset your pc. And play a bit with clocks and voltages.

I didn't change voltages only I upped my clocks a bit 1170/2100 on auto voltages

Hi Kofik, i will send you a PM.

But your image in the above post does not work so i cant copy what you have done and most likely others cannot either.

I have an RX580 Sapphire Nitro at 28Mh/s and 85W at the wall with platinum PSU and 220v input. On a small undervolt, 950 IIRC. I'm out of town at the moment but I can send you my firmware when I get back (9/14)

Why do people mine in windows? Is it just because they don't know linux? Everyone is always bitching about instability and i'm just like  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Thanks man, i managed somehow to get around 29.6 mhs and running pretty stable now. Just need to tweak the voltage now.

I know it's been a while - but would you be able to share your settings on how you got this please?

Wanted to see if it was still stable and running well?

My friends have lots of rx580 nitro+ and all are very happy with them.
Almost all are with hyunix, some are with elpida, and all cad do on eth 30m and some 31m but rare.
You just need good bios mod, or just do one click fix from polaris bios editor 162.
Good luck

Hi,

I have a rig with 6 x rx580s that started mining at 24Mh out of the box. I experimented with the bios a little bit, got it down to 12, now it's back at 24 and I am a little depressed as I can't get more than that and I  tried for the last two days. I will appreciate all help, thanks.

in my opinion it's better you try studying OC/mod vga rx 580, many refrensinya in google, and that's what I did on my rx 570, I have 2 x rx 570 with early speed 22MH/s after I mod and OC speed now each be 27-29 MH/ s

Are these the 580x's that has three fans each? I heard that they do get hot quick. How did you set them up and are you using a liquid cooling system on them? I am actually planning to buy a new rig once i sell some of my coins at the end of the month. If you can post pictures here, it would be a great help.
