There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I asked similar question before "SHA256 or scrypt", but this seems to be a totally different system.
You'll need everything: CPU, RAM, HDD, etc... except GPU!

For the first day....

Tell you what once my EE gets a breather I will release a gpu kernel for it for everyone.

Good luck with that.

If you can GPU our algorithm in a day, with a 100% performance gain (that's 2x faster) I'll personally give you $1000.

Infact, if you can GPU it in a week, I'll give you $1000

You realise that's like flying to another country to buy bread and milk ?

But I guess if most people have gpu, but there really , and actually won't be any advantage .

would be interesting to see how this thing holds up to scrutiny and hacking attempts of all the BTC devs after launch!

Nobody has received any notice, at least I haven't.

Lets hope this doesn't turn into a vaporware project.

Unfortunately release data has slipped to a TBA.....but most likely within the next month.

This is not without good reason though, after some discussion and brainstorming we discovered a better model for EMU creation that a voting system, and are implementing that at the moment.

The new model will most certainly put eMunie at the forefront of crypto-currency innovation if it wasn't already.

In the mean time, if you would like to take part in the beta's leading up to the launch, head over the the forums Smiley

Well that's no way to think!

I have a beta client running right now. It sends tx and messages as advertised.

You could always come join the beta test to see the low down.

As I understand, it's under a beta right now and not be released today as written in 1st message of the topic (Production launch: 21st June 2013)?
Now I can join the beta, I see the beta slot full in the forum http://forum.emunie.com/forums/emunie-discussion.3/ ?

yes, the first target launch date is not going to happen.

Progress on the beta is coming along steadily.

The beta is currently full but as time progress and the code stabalizes, more people are brought in to expand the beta. Post your interest here

http://forum.emunie.com/threads/slots-full-beta-testers.5/unread

and as spots open you will get in (assuming the beta lasts to that point)

If nothing else, come check out the forums, mingle with the uber nerd devs who are working on this awesome project. Be a part of the future of cyrptos.
