Should we invest in altcoins?and why?which is better altcoins or equity shares?

the context of the question is self-directed. I mean you yourself have to ask yourself.
how many people are involved in allcoin, and how they invest their money just for allcoin. I think all the answers of all that is self. how can you be interested in allcoin
me. always do some research before buying allcoin. I dont want to spend my money just to no avail. so this is based on a study of something.

For the top alts I do some long term trading when I bought it. But  mostly, most of the altcoins are for short trading. It is very risky for me to hold  for a long time, it might not having a value  in the long run.

altcoin is suggested to deployed, but not for now, also not too much, it may bring you high profits, yet with high risk, buy altcoin when the whole market is rising maybe a good choice

If you are looking for short terms swings then altcoins could be for you just make sure you take the time to do proper research.  Where BTC is pretyt popular and you can find some news easily you need to be able to dig deeper in altcoin research to make sure you are not jumping in on the wrong side of a pump and dump or some scam.  Always take the time to look at the altcoin in detail to include upcoming developments, who the team is and what their history is as well as any and all news on the altcoins in the last few months or years.  Once you do that then you can make a educated decision on if it is worth investing your money into.
In theory I believe that altcoins bring profit short-term. Yet, from my own experience, my attempts to trade were either unprofittable or ended up being long-term investments. If the coin's growing it's really hard to make yourself sell it, right? In general, investing in altcoins is more safe and flexible than dealing with papers. Most of the good ones grow with time, even though they are volatile and can fall down catastrophically.

Altcoins are great, but you need to pick wisely. Bitcoin seems to always rise but some alts will rise at a much faster rate. Others of course will be abandoned and drop so do your research and choose a good one.

It depends on whether you can handle volatility.

Altcoins are more volatile than small cap stocks.

Then again, if you're a day-trader, then altcoins are better than small cap stocks.

I agree. If you are day trading, altcoin/bitcoin trading is very profitable. But if  you just want to invest and wait for a few years for profit, I say have both. A diversified portfolio is much better and less risky.

Yes we should invest in altcoins because there are really some good altcoins like stratis, lisk, waves and litecoin. Ethereum is also an altcoin and now everyone can see its amazing success within just 2 years.

With the price of bitcoin being relatively stable, for a quick profit traders are going with new altcoins.
No one can say what coin would be success, study and try your luck.

As someone already said here, altcoins are penny stocks with much better returns as well as huge capital loss possibilities too and IMHO, equity shares couldn't give you those returns but they are not that risky compared to altcoins. Altcoins are good if care is taken while investing and complete research is done. Too much hyped altcoins may prove to be better investments which doesn't seem to have pumped for longer time and have gained some better momentum in its volume levels (these include those which have small caps).

With the recent break of upward trendline by bitcoin, I would wait and watch how the alts react. Sometimes the alts surge with rising bitcoin value and sometimes they tank. So wait and watch how some high market cap alts react and then decide about investing in low or mid segments of alts.

Stay away from equity shares.

Equity shares will the first ones to be deemed as securities.

If the SEC deems that the altcoin is a security, that altcoin will go to zero or crash minimally.

Buy an altcoin that has a function.  Bitcoin has a function, as it is used to transfer value (currency) or store value (like gold).  Your ownership of one Bitcoin doesn't represent ownership of anything other than the one Bitcoin.  Firstblood or Kik serve functions.

Coins that sit on a spreadsheet to determine your percentage share of the equity, profits, dividends or underlying assets (real estate, other coins, etc.) will be the first to be deemed as securities.

I don't want to spend money with losses, so I examine it.
I have invested for allcoin. I dont ask everyone if I should. this is a plan that I run, and I have predicted for a profit.

It is not a bad idea to dabble in alt coins. Use ONLY income you can afford to lose. It is a risky business, but as we have seen, from time to time, it can be highly rewarding.

i cant say that you can get a 100 or more % gain profit. because every step is you need bring a risk. in my case. i always watch and check it always the most gainer and losers in the coinmarketcap and check also markets/community behind it. and then i will manage my folio to separating it to coins i want to buy.

You should read invest in altcoins that are promising and will turn into a good investment in the future. ETH is not good to invest your money cause the price has been recently stuck to $200 while the new bitcoins token from hardfork surpassed the price of ETH it just a few weeks. It is also wise to ingest your money for long term profit like BTC this a good chance to but bitcoins especially when it is in a dip. Soon it will leap even further and might reach $25000

It's depend on the target. If you are interesting about speculation - sure. If long term investment - it's a couple of them which are interesting.

In fact, diversification is a good thing and not only in cryptocurrencies but I'd say in any economy whether it's the one of a country, region, company, person, and so on. So why not altcoins, and why not different altcoins... The trick is to get different but good positions in your portfolio, so your future success still greatly depends on how wise your choices are, but that's already a different story (and science).
