Bitcoin SmartWatch Face

Hey everyone, it's my first post, and talking about my project. The past month I had my nose in my phone all day, watching the price of Bitcoin rise and fall. It got me thinking,
I have this Samsung smartwatch, and it would be really handy to be able to quickly check the price of Bitcoin.

I wrote a watch face application, which displays as soon as you turn your wrist so you can see the up to date Bitcoin-USD price.

I'm not sure about features, right now it's really light, and actually much better on batter than I thought it would be. It pulls the price every 10 seconds.

Do you have any feature suggestions?

The screen is small so adding multiple details wouldn't make it any better, It's good  as it is but If you could just add a little arrow going UP (green) or going down (red) for showing the changes for the last 24 hours, you could even simply pull that data from CoinMarketCap or CryptoCompare instead of taking them from multiple exchanges and calculating the average yourself.

Good idea, man! It`s really comfortable and fast to check Bitcoin price this way and what i see on the screenshot - looks nicely, people use watch because it`s the fastest way to get that information which you need and you don`t need to take your phone out of pocket. Good luck in developments, if i will have this type of watch i will download you app.

Pretty awesome. I agree that little up / down arrows would be nice. Alternatively you could also try coloring the price itself red / green to indicate market movements, but I'm not sure if it would read that well. Either way, great idea.

That's a good idea. I'll experiment around with it and see how it looks.

Nice idea for sure. for extra features as OmegaStarScream mentions maybe show 24hour movements in red or green.
Another option would be maybe the percentage rise or fall in a particular colour

We would never use anything like that here. When we go for info, we go for the whole load not a tiny little bit of price here and there. If there is a price change, we need to be able to act on it and not stare into a tiny cheap watch. We have five PC's at the house, $3500 each that we track with, not a $90 after market watch.

Its really a nice idea man. I am sure, your application will be a boon for many people who does day trading.. When you are going to release that application? I mean how can I get this application? Its really difficult man, to check the pc or mobile every 5 minutes to see the bitcoin price . I have one doubt friend, from where or from which site , your application fetches btc price every 10 seconds?

Definitely also add support for some of the better altcoins such as ETH, Litecoin, Dash, Monero,....
The screen is large enough to add arrows for switching currencies.

Is your app available for download? Do you plan on adding it to the play store?

It's cool like first concept. But you should think about any additions - maybe predictions of growth (%,$) and decline (%,$), option to chose other crypto then BTC (Litecoin, for example), button to quick invest...etc.

Now this is an interesting idea. Hopefully this project succeeds and integrate into many smart watches. Samsung and Apple watches can be the start. If we have this set already, I won't look like a tool in front of my friends and family by checking my phone from time to time. I will look like I got places to be, appointments to keep type of guy by looking at your watch every now and then, or a bigger tool by burying my nose in the watch all the time.

The website is pretty simple, but I think you don't need anything more unless you release another app for smartphone as well.

I have a Gear S2 myself btw, it would be nice if there could be some little indicators to see how the price is moving, perhaps a tiny graph if it's possible.

Nice, clean and simple interface. Is it possible to allow the user to choose among few coins for display? At different period, the user might be watching a specific coins.

It fetches the price from blockchain.info

Sorry my replies have been sparse. The forum locks me out from replying to multiple people, and I usually only have a couple minutes to type when I'm on here.

To everyone, thank you so much for your feedback. I am working on a more advanced app that uses a companion phone app, but I like the idea of keeping it simple. It keeps it light on memory and very good with the battery. Also the app works fine even if you lose your phone, which is a plus.

Here is how i switch between coins on my Gear S3, using the various different watch faces. This watch face isn't supposed to replace Blockfolio or whatever you use. The master watch face that's configurable will be coming, but until then, you can get your favorite coins as watch faces and quickly switch between them with no phone, as shown in my GIF. Suggest your favorite altcoins you'd like to see.

The watch isn't supposed to replace a computer at all, I'm not trying to do that. It's more for the in between times when you aren't at your computer staring at a ticker.
