Most ICOs are scams and most cryptocurrencies (other than Bitcoin, “altcoins”) are shit coins. Some ICO tokens are not a scam. Some ICOs are illegitimate because they are essentially a solution without a problem not everything needs a decentralized application with its own currency.

While there are projects that seek to solve this problem, like the HashGains platform which is currently being developed. In this platform, projects are vetted by a decentralized community of HashGains token HGS holders. These token holders can forecast the success of a certain project or its funding campaign, allowing investors to easily get a prediction of how successful a project can be without having to research it himself and without having to trust a single centralized entity.

Some ICOs are profitable, some are not. Some are scams and some are legit. I think the proper way to be not a victim of scammers is to search more about that ICO. Read more about them and analyze.

invest in ICO will good if you invest on right and good ICO.
but many scam ico out there, you must research before dedicate to join an ICO.
learn their project, the team and whitepaper. don't invest if you don't understand about their project.

All this things are two ways to me. We have bad people we have good people. We have good ico project and we have bad / scam ico project that just want to steal people ethereum and bitcoin etc. it's really difficult this days to pick out the good ones at times. But just looking at some project you know they are scammers for example btcx2 or what's this link been passing around all  other platforms

I know 1 legit ICO. This is Fondo Network ICO. The firt SE-ICO in the world.

The SEICO (Secured and Ensured ICO — ICO 3.0) is ICO’s most revolutionary breakthrough, ensuring the benefits to investors in the face of dramatic market changes. SEICO is an ICO that combines two forms of Secured ICO and Ensured ICO. While Secured ICO mitigates investment risk, Ensured ICO increases its margins further.

95% of  ico this days are scam so you have to do a lot of research. Read their whitepaper and check out the team. Then make a good decision as no one will decide for you ...

You just have to study  a project very well to know if it's worth risking on. And have it in mind that there are fake projects too. And their whitepaper can be so captivating . Have stop buying into icos for a while now it's hard to pick original from the whole crowd. When you pick one that you think it's real and the devs won't disappoint you it's still on a 50/50 chance

for now, it is difficult to determine which ico is legit and will not scam, because not necessarily ico that the sale is good and have reached softcap will not be a scam, a few days ago I know one of the ico sales more than softcap, but ultimately that ico is a scam

For me, ICO remains a promising and profitable direction. Yes, there are high risks here, but the potential of the market is huge, on condition of competent analysis it is possible to earn with new projects.

We have given so much freedom investing in ICO and this is a start project which has the possibility to be a billion or even trillion dollar company
in the future, the risk is high but the reward as well, so it's our choice and strategy on how to succeed in there.

Some of the scammers use the ICO projects right now. Once they reach the target amount of investment they will just stop and fade away. So I guess better to do research first on an ICO.

Some ICOs are legit but others are scam. I think it all depends on you the investor to really read much into the project being campaigned about and make the necessary checks to confirm the authenticity of the project before investing into it so that you don't lose any money.

Many countries do not have legislation to regulate cryptocurrency. Therefore it is very difficult to say whether the ICO is a scam. But very often it is so.

Of course, there are legit ICO and there are scams. Who starts a ICO try of course to make a profit; some of the organizer try to offer real value, other not. In a new market, it's normal; so, we have to keek the eyes open.

In early stages until the end there will always be scam and legit. We can't determine which is legit or scam but we can prevent it if we will be vigilant and observant to the projects mission and vision on what the project really is. I know we are not good in determining which of them are good and bad but sometimes we need to undergo trial and error. I hope you won't generalize the ICO are scam or legit. There are some legit and some are scams together with the popularity of ICO some people with dark intentions also go with the flow.

In reality, Coins hardly are total fraud. I consider that the certain issue tends to be generally a atrocious financial proposition.

there are many ICO's that are legit buth there are also some who are scam. So I think that you need to conduct research first before trusting in an ICO. You need to consider the team the goal the function and the strategy of the ICO that you want to join in order not to be scammed.
