My mobo is set to automatically power on after a power-loss.

If it's locked up, you have to use the physical power button.  Maybe some sort of physical circuit with a chip and network interface you can message that is the power button itself that you can communicate with to move the switch when it receives a code?

Checkout tytanick simple rig resetter. Works beautifully for just that. Up to 10 rigs with base unit. Search for his name and simple rig resetter. Or goto simplemining.net

You can try OpenSSH for Windows. That will usually let you connect from a remote command prompt when the rig is frozen. Type 'shutdown /s /t 0' to shutdown right away or 'shutdown /r /t 0' to reboot.

Wifi controlled outlet.

Think this would be the most inexpensive/effective route, are there any stores that you know that carry something like this? Walmart, Staples, OfficeMax? If not its fine, trying to figure out in store availability. I am going on a couple business trips in a couple days and my rig is being a pain in the ass. Don't want to miss out on any minimal crypto gains while I'm gone, can't get the ROI if its offline lol. Thanks a lot guys.

I did google it.  A simple yes or no would have answered.  Nevermind, don't answer if you are going to be this rude.  Bye.

<3 yes, it looks like thats actually what its built for and its relatively cheap. I just feel like the wifi wall unit will work easier as my board is set to power-on automatically after power-loss

I owned them. And it you do over 1100  watts 24/7/365 it can melt. Or yellow.

If you use. More then 1300 after 90 days it will show yellowing and some melt.

They run better at 700 to 950 watts.

Just saw this, will try it out also and get the wifi unit as a backup

I use these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Digital-Loggers-LPC-3-Remote-Web-Network-Power-Switch-Rebooter-8-Outlets-/332390547547?hash=item4d6405405b:g:KxsAAOSw~R1ZyF7V

Then I bypass the internal 15Amp fuse and rely on the 20A GFCI house breaker.  I run 2 rigs with 1300 watt PSUs and supplemental fans as needed on the other outlets.

This is working for me:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-Original-Xiaomi-Smart-Socket-Plug-Basic-Version-WiFi-Wireless-Remote/32648674267.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.eiYPuh

If using referral link in my signature, You can get some cashback percentage.
I was not using them with more than 1KW PSU and I had problems only with adapters to EU socket they supply. Buy local adapters.

I got the opensshd server/client setup last night and woke up this morning reading my event viewer and it was being blown up by a Chinese IP address for exceeding unauthorized attempts lol

Im headed to Best Buy now to purchase a wifi outlet, they are expensive there but I guess it's the same as if I did next day air

If you want to open the ssh port on your router, for security you should change the default port, disable password authentication in the sshd_config file and create an AllowUsers with only public key authentication.
