Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

It is really not that hard to look at the future of Bitcoin, and right now I am seeing that Bitcoin won't replace anything yet. Bitcoin is suited to become an option not a replacement because we are talking about fiat currency where it is an official currency of a certain country. That a decentralized currency where the government does not have any control of won't be even considered as a replacement, it is for our own safety as a currency that is volatile will affect their economy greatly.

I do not think that bitcoin will replace ordinary money. The price for one coin is too high and it is used mainly as an investment, and not as a currency for small purchases.

Yes I think that Bitcoin will not replace cash. Because I know that the government will certainly not allow Bitcoin to dominate the state economy.
But we will face a global market, where everyone is required to compete in trade. I think there is a small chance that Bitcoin will replace the cash even though not everyone is using it.
Thank you for answering.
I am satisfied with your answer.

Users themselves are to blame. Bitcoin was conceived as a currency. I do not recognize the investment of money in bitcoin investments. This is a speculation. Investments are aimed at development of production and profit due to the development of the real sector of the economy. Speculators do so I transfer the money from one pocket to another. No good for the economy they bring.

I think that's impossible because for me Bitcoin is like gold, but if Bitcoin has gained recognition and legality from the world, the possibility of bitcoin could shift the popularity of gold, and maybe conventional money will only be made in exchange rates only ..

A big NO. I don't see bitcoin wiping out cash. Instead, bitcoin will be used together with cash in the future (and even today). The main function of bitcoin for people using it is like that of a credit card or bank account. People can keep their savings in their bitcoin wallet and could use them in the future when needed. There's no need to go to banks to deposit or withdraw since people can already deposit their money through remittance centers going to their bitcoin wallet.

It is true that many people are switching from cash to bitcoin but it will not make the cash wiped out. Many people need cash for everyday transaction so it is needed by everyone. Cash can be used by anyone unlike bitcoin that can be used only by the people who have an internet connection and knows what it is. Cash is used for a very long time so it is not easy to wipe it out.

I don't believe that BTC will ever do this. Cash could ultimately destroy itself one day however, as all fiat currencies throughout history have collapsed.

It takes too much time to see the digital currencies alone instead of cash to utilize in daily usage. If bitcoin make legal in the countries then bitcoin is widely been and people also reduce to use fiat money if they completely understand the growth and potential of bitcoin. When the cash is not been used then bitcoin and other altcoins will mark as their national currency for each of the country.

The ease of use of cash vs bitcoin will stop that scenario from happening, unless that radically changes. I do believe it can start playing a big role in emerging economies, which in turn forces the more wealthy countries to comply in one way or another.

As of now it would be impossible for bitcoin to replace fiat or cash.  Only few of the worlds population uses cryptocurrency nowadays and it would be very hard to live in a world wherein only a few people uses a currency.  Of course it will be a different story if we will be having almost all of the worlds population would use cryptocurrency.  That is why each of us must promote cryptocurrency to everyone.

Yes for now it is impossible because there are many problems in bitcoin that are needed to solve in order to use it easily than cash that can encourage more people to use bitcoin. Bitcoin opens the fast transaction wherever you are but the transaction fees also continues to become high.

Bitcoin  can't  replace cash for now and even several years from no as more to be done to fully integrated these cryptocurrency in our current system and technology. It is possible that fiat or cash can become an alternative currency in the future when bitcoin become mainstream.

Cash will always be there because I think bitcoin is the second money where each has advantages and disadvantages. So having both is a beautiful thing without having to eliminate each other because both are very important and complementary.

Bitcoin cannot wipe out the cash because that is not a possible thing in bitcoin. Bitcoin cannot replace the fiat or cash because it doesn't have that capability to support the people who were be left if there is no cash to be used because bitcoin cost money and a lot of people will not be able to buy it since it is expensive.

For me i have two opinion, first it is able and not impossible for the bitcoin to eliminate and wipe out cash because of the demand of the people and the want of the people to make their work more easy, but it will only happen if the government will allow it, now if the government didnt allow it for sure it will be in middle bitcoin and cash will be seperated and the cash has no possiblity to be wipe ouy because the government will be the ones will suffer. For the conclusion it depends to the order.

I'm a big fan of BTC, however, I'm afraid that it still has a long way to go before it will actually be able to replace cash and fiat money. There are various reasons for that: the most clear ones are the high value of BTC and the limited amount of coins in circulation. Though I still hope that it will happen one day

No, I dont think Bitcoin is the solution to the weakness of cash, infact bitcoin was introduce in respect to strengthen the country official currency. keep in mind that Bitcoin is a digital currency which is decentralized and Cash is a official currency and it is governed by the Nation's government parties, and so it is not possible to replace the Official currency with digital currency because we dont have any type of control over it. Bitcoin can be made as optional payment if they want to do so, otherwise its not possible to replace cash which is the main stream of payment in all the countries.

Yes I do agree with you. I don't bitcoin will replace cash. The reason why people are using bitcoin because we can earn extra income and we can conver bitcoin to cash. We can use bitcoin to purchase online stuffs, pay bills through coina.ph wallet but it doesn't mean , bitcoin will replace cash. For me bitcoin is more on investment .

I'm sure there will be some point that bitcoin and cash options will reach a equilibrium and not totally removed one another. Still there are a lot of convenience that cash offers that bitcoin will not be able to provide and cash somehow became part of society and different civilizations since ancient times that adapted to changes up to this day. That is why I can't see bitcoin's purpose and capability as to totally make cash obsolete.

You cannot pay taxes, for example, with bitcoins, so there always will be cash or some kind of centralized money.

The world is on the way of a cashless society, the banks the government and the elite in power all want it, but of course it won't be bitcoin because it is decentralized

I find it very difficult if bitcoins can replace currency positions in every country because every government has a very stable potential with its currency and if we compare it with bitcoin very far with its anonymous, and indeed bitcoin is very well known in some countries and can be a solution for economic growth. But bitcoin is very difficult to change currency

I don't think bitcoin can take place money. Since the price is high for 1 bitcoins, and on the top not everyone aware about bitcoins. It only happen when media and world start supporting bitcoins and begin to legally adopt bicoins. Unless it is not adopted legally and openly by the governments this dream of replacing cash will remain only a dream.

I don't think so. Because it is difficult to believe that Bitcoin will be able to achieve something which Visa/Master/PayPal failed to achieve. Not that I am having doubts regarding Bitcoin's capability. But I believe that Bitcoin and Physical cash serve different purposes.

Possibilities is always there and we can see the indications but knowing this chances would really be slim on bitcoin to wipe out traditional fiat currencies which is being used for how many years already or since on the beggining of time where people tend to use first fiat local money. It cant really be replaced easily by an 8 year old digital coins specially government not all supported on its existence which we  can really assume that it would be hard to believe for this thing to happen.

No, most likely not. Since the value of Bitcoin is ever-increasing and dependent on both demand and supply (which in this case is a shrinking constant), people are going to buy and save their Bitcoins as an investment. Even though they can, people in the future are most likely not going to be spending their Bitcoins on groceries, but will be saving them in their vaults and IRA's.

It would be like going to the supermarket with a few gold bullions, and a gold chain.

Overall I will say that I can see Litecoin or Ripple (or even Dogecoin) used primarily for transactions as opposed to investments.

I'm a big fan of BTC, however, I'm afraid that it still has a long way to go before it will actually be able to replace cash and fiat money. There are various reasons for that: the most clear ones are the high value of BTC and the limited amount of coins in circulation. Though I still hope that it will happen one day

It doesn't have to replace cash, they both can coexist.
Cash has its uses and fills the niche that BTC will never be able to and that niche is total anonymity. BTC is and will be traceable, while cash is not. Cash can be manipulated by the governments since it's issued by them, but it can be used in very remote areas, where there's no electricity, internet and cellphone reception.

As it is famous today. that Bitcoin is the solution to the weakness of cash. Many people are switching from cash and using Bitcoin.
If this continues to happen then the cash will be destroyed.
what do you think about it?
will Bitcoin be replacing cash?
what if the cash impact is no longer used?

Cash started to be phased out when credit cards came into existence. Now, most of the people shop without bringing cash into them. Maybe, someday bitcoin can achieved that status. Bitcoin will be the main payment method in any transaction we make. But if you mean by cash as fiat, then I do not think fiat will be totally replaced. Government will fight for it to stay.

bitcoin can not remove currency in every country because in every government have stable currency instead of bitcoin which sometimes price up and down so that difficult to be their currency, we also already know bitcoin is very famous in various countries which have use bitcoin as solution to change the weakness of the global currency but it is very difficult if bitcoins are made in official currency or replace their own currency

Depends on which country you're living in. It may be possible in some countries but for third world countries, it's really hard to accept the fact that a cryptocurrency will take over fiat. People need to understand the problems with Fiat and know the values of Bitcoin.

Not plausible. Bitcoin is designed as an option, not something that could replace normal currency, as it would be really inconvinient. It's also decentralized and goverments don't have control over any cryptocurrencies, so unless we're going to see Skynet unleashed before us, it's not really something that would happen.

Definitely, bitcoin will not replace cash.Total number of bitcoins is only 21 million.Only countries suffering from severe financial crisis and having their currency collapsed use bitcoin as their national currency like liberland. But other governments would not allow bitcoin to be fully used instead of cash.More over, people itself have started to see bitcoin as a valuable investment which could give huge returns and they are not interested in spending bitcoins as a currency.

I do not think that bitcoin will replace ordinary money. The price for one coin is too high and it is used mainly as an investment, and not as a currency for small purchases.

Why do you base your assumption on the price of one BTC.
How much is a satoshi? $0.0000417840
Is that also too high?

For me it can't bitcoin can't wipe out the cash. The cash or ordinary money is can't be replace because all people in this earth are using cash and not every buddy knows the bitcoin. Smiley

False , check Sweden. Cash is becoming useless there with more shops declining cash than accepting it.

Same for you , there might be only 21 million bitcoins but each has 100 millions satoshis.

it is really not that hard to look at the future of Bitcoin, and right now I am seeing that Bitcoin won't replace anything yet. Bitcoin is suited to become an option not a replacement because we are talking about fiat currency where it is an official currency of a certain country.I do not think that bitcoin will replace ordinary money. The price for one coin is too high and it is used mainly as an investment, and not as a currency for small purchases.

I don't think bitcoin can wipe out cash. Bitcoin has not yet been recognized around the world, and it has many disadvantages, such as slow trading and high transaction fees. The future may still be the king of all altcinos.

Bitcoin will not replace the cash, the total amount of Bitcoin is only 21 million.
Bitcoin is only suitable for choice rather than a substitute because we are talking about fiat currency where it is the official currency of a particular country.

I do not think that Bitcoin will replace the regular money.

The price of one coin is too high and is used primarily as an investment, and not as a currency for small purchases.

Indeed Bitcoin is well known in some countries and can be a solution for economic growth. But Bitcoin is very difficult to change currency.

Bitcoin is really powerful, and for me, it can wipe out cash. The production of cash gets harder and harder when time flies while bitcoin's value still goes up, bitcoin will surely conquer cash in the future by the means of transferring and also in production. We all know that in order to make cash, there are certain materials needed and in the near future, there might be a lack on it while in bitcoin, technology is the limit, technology in our age is very outstanding and still improving, in the future it will improve and develop more and that will be a way for bitcoin to establish its power beyond cash.

I think like you, bitcoin is not eligible to replace cash, if bitcoin replaces cash, governments must issue applications that meet consumer requirements and bitcoin prices must be fixed, unchanged. by the time. At present, bitcoin is not qualified, some countries have not accepted bitcoin. Some individuals do not really believe in bitcoin.

does not mean in the presence of bitcoin then cash will be eliminated. Why is that? Because it is not easy to replace the important role of cash in this world even if replaced with bitcoin or non-cash because all walks of life use money as a tool to transact in everyday life. and cash is the easiest way to make transactions. again still many people do not understand how to use bitcoin or non cash money.

Bitcoin is different from physical money or cash either in technology or purpose of existence. Yes you are correct because Bitcoin is the solution of slower and unsafe transactions. People switching from cash to Bitcoin are wise though we already know the effect of volatility so I think we should be cautious too. I don't think if cash will be easily destroyed or replaced because governments will never allow that to happen. Having both assets will be much better and even more wiser. The use of Bitcoin as online payments or investments and fiat money for our daily needs will make our life more easier and convenient.

Well it is not like this because it is seems to be increasing in price now and as much as the transaction concerned it is now fast as compare to old time, now it is not taking that much time as it was taking long ago, now people use to pay for transaction and get fast transaction, free transaction is also possible but it will take more than 2 or 3 days, bitcoin is easy to use and it has a lot of advantages as it can be use as a job it is saving, it is investment and also a kind of business so for me in future bitcoin will be familiar to all people of the world and then price of bitcoin will be more than before.

this will never happen, money are way too important in terms of politics, economy and lifestyle.. crypto might become a side currencies but there is no way crypto will replace money in the next century

But crypto is a form of money, isn't it? Are you aware the fact that most circulated supply of money is not cash (3-5%)?
Governments would actually prefer all money exchanges to have a digital footprint, so imo it's not that far away from us.

for now I think it can not yet because all countries still use their currency as a transaction but I am sure that someday bitcoin will be able to replace ordinary money but all takes time Wink Wink

Bitcoin will not replace the cash, the total amount of Bitcoin is only 21 million.

Each bitcoin is divisible into 100 million units. Do you know that?

Bitcoin is only suitable for choice rather than a substitute

Absolutely!! .... no sense...

The price of one coin is too high and is used primarily as an investment, and not as a currency for small purchases.

1$ is worth 13000 IDR, that makes the $ totally unattractive , right?
1 Berkshire Hathaway Inc share is worth 301 005.00 USD , totally unattractive.

Indeed Bitcoin is well known in some countries and can be a solution for economic growth. But Bitcoin is very difficult to change currency.

Really? Why?

does not mean in the presence of bitcoin then cash will be eliminated. Why is that? Because it is not easy to replace the important role of cash in this world even if replaced with bitcoin or non-cash because all walks of life use money as a tool to transact in everyday life. and cash is the easiest way to make transactions. again still many people do not understand how to use bitcoin or non cash money.

Oh, but it's quite easy to replace it.
Sweden did it, Israel is planning to and a lot of countries are already having 3/4 of their transactions in digital form.
Yeah , Bitcoin won't be the reason cash is going to be extinct but cash is going to be irrelevant in a decade.

What  I understand is bitcoin is not currently being used as a replacement for cash. It's used as a replacement for the digits that are controlled by the banks. Who knows bitcoin will be able to wipe out cash. There's no properties of cash that bitcoin can't accomplish as long as everybody has access to mobile phones and internet as far as I know.

I do not think they are switching from cash to bitcoin, but they buy bitcoin with cash to invest and also use it for any buying and selling transactions via the internet. bitcoin can not replace cash, because some countries have forbidden it. so how can bitcoin be able to replace cash, while bitcoin alone is not tangible. in my opinion an alternative bitcoin for us can get some cash

I think the bitcoin and the cash will go side by side like if we look at the present time period then the bitcoin is also using but if we made comparison then the cash is better for every one in the world people do many transaction with out internet and without internet in the cash you can perform transaction offline it is very common among us and through this the interest of the people for bitcoin is increasing but cash is still using for every thing.

I think bitcoin is not gonna replace money but it will be commonly used as a mode of payment just like your normal money. Bitcoin can also be used on first world countries but I think on third world countries it will not be commonly used. Money has been used for years and it has became a traditional mode of payment.

I don't think so that as of now any government would make bitcoins as their legal tender and also that there are many countries where bitcoins hasn't even made legal and some have banned them so bitcoins replacing cash wont be possible anytime soon.Cash is really convenient to use for daily use and whereas bitcoins is not suitable for daily micro transactions imo.

I don't think that's going to be possible. It will be difficult for Bitcoin or other digital cryptocurrencies to replace the widely used and acceptable medium of exchange. Paper bills or coins are easily available and very convenient to use in a daily micro transactions unlike digital money that you still need to be converted and sometime will cost you a lot of time. But of course, Bitcoin has already taken a great dive and contribution to the world of currencies, investments, and economy.

I don't think btc can replace cash or even wipe out cash because cash already exist in the beginning. People are always using cash anytime and anywhere. Cash is used widely everywhere especially in payment terms. Presently,  Btc is not accepted as payment in daily expenditures, so I guess it's not gonna happen. But we'll never know, maybe in the future, all payment will be through digital currency.

if to replace the possibility not because the money in each country is governed by the government of the country, while bitcoin no law, yes if the impact of money in a country will be weak against the exchange rate bitcoin, and bitcoin in the future will increasingly growing very rapidly.

If I think so far the existence of bitcoin does not interfere with the existence of cash and will not be as easy as we think it takes further process.
In my opinion, the presence of bitcoin brings luck in developing countries that can be used as an easy transaction tool Grin

Bitcoin will always stay a specualtions object. It will never replace cash money. Its technically to slow to handle all the transaction of a country. Its also too expensive. And last but not least, the hardcap is to low. So its totally not suitable to replace fiat money. Also its too volatile. With all these weaknesses it could not work as a currency. But in the future there will come a cryptocurrency who will handle all this. But these needs some years. Actually the mainstream do not acceppt cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin can not replace the currency fiat. It can press it into use, but it can not completely replace it in any way. Mandatory signs of statehood are the national centralized money, the banking system through which the country's economy will function and the money will be allocated when planning the development of the country. If the state moves to calculations exclusively in bitcoin, this will mean the actual unification of the economies of all countries using bitcoin. And the volatility of the crypto currency will not allow the country's economy to develop normally, since its planning will be impossible because of the impossibility of fixing the bitcoin price firmly.

Bitcoin can never replace cash. Bitcoin as a mode of payment is really unsuitable due to the high transaction fees, low supply and the long waiting time to get confirmations. Cash is used daily by each and every person on the planet, Bitcoin can't handle that kind of load. I don't want to wait 30 minutes to get my transaction confirmed just to buy a cup of coffee.

I don't think that at this moment and as the actual state of bitcoin it could wipe out cash or other currencies because yhe most important thing for s currency is to be stable but thats doesn't happen with bitcoin ad it is a very volatile currency.

I think no, cash would not be destroyed that easily through bitcoin. Yes, it is true that bitcoin's existence made us question the presence of cash, but still, after many speculations we are still using cash even though we are bitcoin users. Bitcoin might not be a replacement bit I want to consider it as an upgrade item for cash because it makes transactions much easier.

I agree with Theb up there.
It will be an option for now.
But the future can change after that. If they find that bitcoin is a good solution to haste every transactions and payment that had been a hassle for years then it will come in handy to make is as the alternate currency of cash.
If possible then it could be the cash-like itself.

if each time we are going to use it so much that it will take a time when someone tells us cash we are going to ask ourselves what is that and we are going to consider the natural thing that has put thousands of trees to make those paper bills that dominates us all we will pay with the phone or an implanted chip

I think bitcoin will not replace fiat because bitcoin and fiat money is different, bitcoin is digital currency whereas fiat money is money sanctioned by a country and the money can become state symbol, many want bitcoin but not all country and people recognize bitcoin and understand how bitcoin works so that the country uses cash to transact. And this is certainly not going to be able to replace cash.

Bitcoin is still not enough to replace fiat. Why did I say so? Because as we can see, bitcoin only became an ideal currency because it showcased some characteristics of a currency that people were looking for. But if you just look outside, almost all people are using cash to buy, pay, and receive. Even bitcoin users can mot deny the existence of cash because they also have them in their own wallets and pockets.

I think that bitcoin can never replace cash. There are many reasons for this. If you look from the point of view of an individual, then in order to use bitcoin, you need to have a computer, a laptop or a good mobile phone, a constant connection to the Internet, to be able to use the crypto currency to pay for every little thing. I do not think that this is real, because there are a lot of people who do not want to use crypto currency for calculations in this way and will defend their right to use cash.

From the state's point of view, the use of bitcoin as the only form of settlement will mean that this state will directly link the economy of the country with the economy of other countries, and given the greater volatility of bitcoin, it will be virtually impossible.

I'm a big fan of BTC, but I'm afraid I still have a long way to go before I can really replace cash and paper money. There are various reasons for that which is most obvious is the value of BTC is so high and the number of coins was limited to circulate. Although I still hope it will happen in the future someday. No its not possible to wipe out cash completely as bitcoin has only a limited supply. Also it has a major drawback that it could be only used when Internet is available. Also uneducated people would not be able to use it as they are unaware of digital transactions.

There is a possibility that we will use btc or digital currencies in the future as money. But now, you can only use btc by converting it to your country's currency, you cannot use it directly.

Well the possibility is always there and maybe there are really a big chances that bitcoin can really rise up high or maybe become more popular in the near future but I think this bitcoin cannot really wipe out cash as a form of payment system maybe it will use to gain cash but if we talk about payment system cash is the most common payment than bitcoin before bitcoin is establish cash is already there so then I believe that cash is the most common thing than btc.

I dont think that btc will eventually replace our fiat money in our country coz btc is not stable so i dont think our government will choose that for our own sake and for security purposes.

Nope! I don't think cash will be destroyed. I think if bitcoin will destroy cash in the future the government will act before it happens, in that way bitcoin will be destroyed first. Why? Because cash is what most people needs, those who don't have the bitcoin need cash. Those who are homeless needs cash. There are so many people who need cash rather than cryptos. How do you think they will live if there is no cash? You can think of other of other scenarios. Do you think bitcoin will not be banned in your country if they know that it will destroy the cash someday? I think it is better that they can coexist rather than destroying each other.

I do not think that bitcoin will replace ordinary money. The price for one coin is too high and it is used mainly as an investment, and not as a currency for small purchases.
yes, I agree with you, 1 bitcoin is so large that it can not be used to buy something of little value.

technology will continue to grow rapidly, so I'm sure if the world has received bitcoin as a legitimate transaction tool, then there will be a special application used for payment of something of little value.

as now there is altowl, a trading application on mobile. so wherever and whenever we can trade.

Despite the convenience and all the advantages that bitcoin offers, i don't think it will ever replace cash. For one, not all people, unfortunately, have access to the internet and the digital currency, with this alone, the number of people being able to use bitcoin for purchases and transactions are limited. Another is that bitcoin and some other digital currencies are decentralized, which means governments cannot control or take hold of it and with this, money cannot be wiped out but instead, bitcoin will be added as an option when performing certaintransactions or payments.

Maybe we can say it would in a certain place but not the entire community nor it happen globally. As we all knew that some places aren't accepted this or they certainly banned crypto, so it means that still a lot of people are currently and never look into these 3rd world currency generation.

I never thought cash would be ruined. Bitcoin can never replace the currency we use everyday. As we know the amount of bitcoin is very limited in number only 21 million pieces, I think it is very unlikely bitcoin able to meet the needs of the world economy.

Bitcoins popularity by the day is one thing but its acceptance by the general public is another thing. It will not replace cash at the moment or for the next 10 years.

I doubt. This is unlikely to happen. I just don’t see cash being wiped out anytime in the near or far future. It has been circulating in the monetary system for hundreds of years compared to Bitcoin’s existence of barely 10 years. And majority of the world’s population haven’t even heard of Bitcoin and that they are used to using cash. So the idea of cash being phased out is very unlikely to materialize.

I seriously doubt bitcoin will wipe out cash. I see cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies coexisting and interchangeable. The advantage of fiat currency is that it can be used to pay taxes.

Bitcoin will not change the international currency, because in my country bitcoin better as its own investment because of many problems with banks in my country, bitcoin worried about the shift of bank position, so bitcoin can not be a legitimate payment. Instruments such as buying goods and other necessities, bitcoin just like a tool to invest only.

I honestly don't think bitcoin or any cryptocurrency will be able to wipe out cash, at least not during our lifetime.  Non of the governments around the world will allow it to happen.  They will do whatever it takes to make sure that they can control the currency a.k.a cash.  Unfortunately they may not be able to control bitcoins, not yet anyways.

Not for many years. When all devices and people have the means to exchange currency with the reliability, discreteness, and ease as cash then it could be possible, as long as we have 100% up-time.

That is quite possible in the very far future. Paper money is circulated, produced, managed, maintained with the supervision of several government entities. Bitcoin with anonymity, it has not been validated in practice. Will the government let this happen? It affects the economy of the country.

As many above, I do not think that the Bitcoin could replace / wipe out cash. It is about trust. Many people, even the young, still could not accept the virtual currency.

I think it is possible. But it will take a long time before it happens. It needs to be accepted by a lot of countries first, and the citizens itself.

Depends on which country you're living in. People need to understand the problems with Fiat and know the values of Bitcoin.

I do not think Bitcoin can remove the cash; some people believe that virtual money is overwhelming the market today. But money is so familiar to many people that change is difficult. Many countries.

I think that this can not happen in the future because the virtual currency is not big enough to have the destruction of the cash. In the future, maybe the virtual currency will do this.
