Yes, Holders will receive maximum 7.3 % of tokens they are holding till end of the year. This percentage will decrease to 2%.
Note that, according to new rules, you must hold your tokens in all 30 days of the month. Otherwise, this percentage will be lower.

The moment Pundi X loses its monopoly when it has competition in the same field of POS devices, it will mean retailers and merchants will have a choice and that will affect the Pundi X revenue stream. It needs to get as many POS devices in as many retailers as it possibly can and do it as soon as possible before another project with or without an ICO will try to steal its thunder.

Pundi X has offices in London and Singapore. They have spent money ICO money to get their project out there, I hope they are successful.

The thing is though, Pundix is diversifying, the XPOS units will act as nodes in the network when their mainnet goes live, which means NPXS will no longer just be an erc20 token working off the Ethereum blockchain, but Pundi x will have its own blockchain which means that developers can make dapps and issue smart contracts and NPXS token will have even more utility and all the transactions running through Ethereum now will be running through the FX blockchain, so more usage and not just pos machines coming to Pundix.

Yes that move by Pundi X seems a good one for long term stability because running off Ethereum blockchain sharing with thousands of tokens might not be a good thing because of restraints. As you mentioned making its own blockchain and having a dev community and being able to issues smart contracts gives it a head start over future competitors on top of the already head start it has with POS devices getting ready to be installed in various retailers.
