I've noticed that people here tend to comment on the original post in a thread that is many pages long, and then they leave without any discussion. They don't appear to to even read the last several posts in the discussion before commenting what they have to say.

Maybe this is a result of social networking habits, where people comment on topics with an entitled attitude that only their opinion matters and everyone should care about what they have to say. Well guess what? Most everyone else is like you and they post their commens without caring about your opinion either. You might as well talk to a wall. Just think that the wall is listing and cares about your superior opinion. It seems like a narcissist's way of doing things. People on social networking have created kind of a "me" generation where they contsantly post things entirely about themselves without any regard to how it might hurt someone else. They want everyone to focus their attention on them and comment on the latest thing that they have posted. Well I'm tired of such selfishness.

I remember in the past in other discussion places things seemed to be more about discussions. Everyone would read at least the last few posts before making a reply.

This whole social media culture situation is sickening.  They really don't care at all about resolving anything with a discussion. It's all about pretending to care to look good and just getting attention.

The South Park episode (S16E13) about the rubber bracelets with causes written on them is quite funny and relevant.

* Click +1 that you care about farmers in Asia * lol It really just shows how selfish and uncaring people really are. They've given more money to the bracelet makers than what the cause is actually about.

This is due to the fact that people here are pretending to discuss, but in reality they are just rising in rank Cheesy
