Hello all,

I'm curious to the direction most gpu's push their hot exhaust.  Is it generally out toward the dvi plugs or backwards, where the case might be?  Or both directions?

Here is a general example:

Any input appreciated!

Thanks

It all depends on the card.  Most reference designs such as the one you pictured will blow the heat out towards the display ports.  Some heat will radiate off of the PCB, but all of the convection currents will be pushing out by the card outputs, as with most reference blower designs.

On a side note, I'm starting to think there needs to be a subforum dedicated to answering Kinetic's questions  Wink

and you can moderate it! Cheesy yes I do have alot of questions. I'll attempt to contain myself, at least for today! lol.

Thank you for the answer as I had set up fans blowing cold air toward the display ports.
