Hi

Are there any websites I can mine via a browser?
There's a lot of website where you can mine however, most of them are not legit and just a waste of time. It is very rare to find a legit minining site compared in recent years. So I suggest that having a mining device is much better than earning in websites.

Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

I don't think so mining is possible, for mining it requires more powerful systems or rigs to get you profit.  In simple words can say that browser mining is slow and it will get you only small amounts of satoshi's  in a day which is not profitable.

There is "Bitcoin miner" in Windows store (only for windows 10). Very easy to use. Tap in an adr. and run.
Gives you about 1000-1500 sat a day, whether you use a core2, core3, core5 or core7. Does not seem to be many sat difference between these.

Is there any proof of this you can post in here. With today's bitcoin price rate the 1K to 2K satoshi per day is lot with only browser mining. May be whatever you calling is not actually browser kinda mining but looks like windows additional software like those of nicehash miner using the cores. Have you got paid by the way, so that we can proceed for trying it out. :-)

You might end up shooting your electric bill without a corresponding increase in profit.
In other words, mining is not profitable on desktops.

Recently, there has been that talk about discovery of mining scripts installed on various every day websites, that used visitor computing power to mine coins. However, putting aside the immoral and maybe illegal point of this story, you can set up yourself such website. Turn it on, or send the links out to your friends to run the site. However, you won't expect a much profit with little visitors, there is always a way.

http://www.brominer.com/?395 Obviously, it'll take eternity to actually earn anything useful, but y'know... (Edit: I'm yet to get a payout, so could be a scam, but seems vaguely legit) (2ND edit: 'brominer' link has a proper FAQ and pool, looks better)

Still waiting for a payout, so looks like a scam, frankly...

Depends on what cryptocurrency you want to mine and your use case:

If you want to mine Monero on website visitors' browser, use coinhive.com or its alternative.

If you want to mine Monero on website your browser, use Pickaxe (chrome extension):
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/pickaxe-coinhive-monero-m/ohlbpbhmhjadmjfibjmhbjjkefnehknp

However, as stated in many comments above, mine through JS on browsers is slow, nearly non-profitable.

I am sure you are looking for minergate.com, you can easily mining on yours browsers. But i suggest not to do that, it might make your computer slower, harmful when you run it  for long time.  Wink

If you have your site or browser extention you can check Gridcah.net, really good alternative to coinhive with low fees and advanced protection from adblocks and av-s.

Browser mining is utilized by websites that have a hard time earning anything from ads. However, it's very intrusive and some antiviruses block it along with the entire site. Mining through a browser to your own wallet is possible with certain services, however it's not profitable at all on a small scale. https://minergate.com/ had such feature, not sure if it's still up. Monero profitability should be dying soon as ASICs are released for it.
