I labeled this post the way I did because I feel like this company Hitbtc.com is working to defraud people and no one does anything about it.Now I wonder how many other people have had problems like me.Someone can steal a $5 item and go to jail for 5 years and then a company can steal $100,000 usd and nothing happens? NO THIS CAN NOT BE!!
Not in a direct way are they creating fraud but really a indirect way. These companies have ways to get money from people and keep it by offering a service to many people and because of how they design their service the keep much of the users money.

For example localbitcoins.com used to have a temporary BTC wallet called easywallet.org.They let you store your bitcoins there for a low % fee, very small amount maybe to attract many people. But the trick is you only had access to your money/coins if you had and saved a link .If you lost the link you lost the money. And when bitcoin prices started to go up easywallet.org announced that they were closing their easywallet.org service and remove your money and those that did not or lost the link lost big $$. So it is not a scam directly but the system is setup so you fail and the absence of legitimate support means they keep the money that falls in the cracks.

What happened with my case is I moved 206 bitcoin cash coins to hitbtc becasue I did not trust the wallet at electroncash.com for bitcoin cash storage so I was going to convert them to bitcoins and save them in my other wallets. I had used the site hitbtc.com for over 3 years to trade monero and also convert coins to bitcoin and then store them. I first used one of my wallets to get out about 50 bitcoin cash coins and later when I had more time  then another 157 bitcoin cash coins from the same wallet and then sent them to hitbtc.com to do a sample trade to convert them to btc. Read about electroncash.com and some suspicious things about it like how the signers of that software did not want to use their real name, but now it would have been safer than this scam site hitbtc.com
I had both transfers deposited to Hitbtc.com and there was 206 coins total at the time in my account they were worth $130,000 usd at that time, now about $91,000 usd.

I tried to move a sample amount to another wallet more secured and then it said I had to verify a link sent to my email. The problem is at that time almost 4 years ago when I made that account I had a different email and that email service is muchomail.com, that email service is closed now. So I could not access that account to confirm the email HITBTC.com wanted me to verify to move my money. So then I contacted support and they will not respond and they do not care to change the email so they have another victim whos money has fallen through the cracks,Any company that is going to have the honor of managing peoples money must provide support. Now Ihave 100,000 usd in this website and they refuse to give me support so I can manage my property.

The point is I recommend anyone else who is using HITBTC to switch to another trading site for crypto because your money is in danger at HITBTC.In danger because they do not offer support that is legitimate and they have faulty system that will not allow you to change your email in your control panel and they will not help you so your money is there but you can not touch it.

If I can not get access to my property then I can only do my best to attack them for their crimes against myself.
If you HITBTC.com people remove you roadblock and let me have my property I will delete this post. I need my money and should not have this much inconvenience!!

Try any other market before wasting your energy and money on this conspiracy HITBTC.com

Dear trader, we are extremely sorry to hear that we have left such impression.
But we also are glad to state that this issue is easily resolvable, and it will be resolved. But your kind cooperation would be required. We hope you would accept our apologies for any unpleasant experience you've had.

So, what's been happening?

Muchomail.com is no longer there, so you are not able to confirm your withdrawal via email. It happens, unfortunately.
Our high security standards won't allow just to disable email confirmation, we have to be absolutely sure that that email is no longer reachable and nobody will ever have the access to it. Here's the course of action.

1). Kindly try to contact everyone.net. Probably they will be able to help you to retrieve access to your email.
2). In case they won't be able to solve the issue rapidly, we'll be glad to do it instead. Our support team will email you the instructions on how to disable email confirmation on your account. You'll be able to withdraw your money, you have our word.

Once again, please accept our apologies for that experience you've been through.
It's very important to keep track on your email account, since it's your main and unique identifier on HitBTC.

Let see how it ends. Great words from hitbtc, if they did it l  will be fan of hitbtc.
Tired of scamming stories everyday, even in 21st century we don't have some scam proof systems.Humans discoveries are useless and futile if we cant develop some trust system.
Lack of trust gives birth to FUD. And in turn shifts human race to lower grades.

Hello, yes I have track of my email and the password but like I was saying the muchomail.com website is not in service so I have no control over that email. You need to understand how much pain and problems this has caused my family and waiting 2 weeks for support to help and nothing. It is 100,000 usd, much money. I tried to contact support and people even on the "troll Box" on your site say that the support is not good and so I had to come here because this has caused me many nights without sleeping.I have used your site for almost 4 years and I trusted that there would be no problems when I "cracked"  my bitcoin wallet and took out those 206 coins of bitcoin cash.I preferred to store my money there instead of the electroncash wallet after reading bad things about that wallet this is how I trusted you.

I do not feel I need to contact some company in California (everyone.net) other people have even said that there is no response. I have nothing with them,I did not make an account with them , I have not known them for almost 4 years and they do not have my 206 bitcoin cash coins. I just need my email to be changed to my new email that I sent to your support people. I dont want to bother you but I need this fixed it has literally damaged my health,I have lots of acid in my stomach now and can not drink beer or wine from the stress this has made (stomach ulcers). When this is fixed I will remove this post. Please help soon

Ok I have submitted to you the identification you required, this I did even though it says the only people who need to "verify"accounts are the ones who want cash withdraws from your site.I need you to do what you said you were going to do.Remove the email verification of my orders like you promised to prove to the community you are a legitimate organization. You people have other people saying the same things about your company

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2207558.0

It would be very foolish of you to become scammers and loose all the energy you spent building up your company this far since 2013

I will post here when this has been fixed

Wtf so TL;DR you fucked up and didn't change your email for four years. Wow. What an elaborate scam. Maybe you should look into getting rid of other accounts that have old outdated Hotmail accounts before they "scam" you too hahaha.

Everyone is on a mission to achieve something. You were on your mission to convert your free coins and become rich, they're on their mission to find flaws with your account and become rich.
You know how many times has this been repeated before ? - NEVER STORE YOUR COINS ON AN EXCHANGE.What did you even learn from Mt-Gox ?
You can still purse with legal allegations if you're strong enough.FBI is already tracking down illegal services, such incidences interest them.
Jokes only.

Did you actually read what the op wrote?? No, you didn't you just wanted to post something, I wonder why...

@OP: YOU didn't take care of having an up to date acc before moving a large amount of money. Get the KYC done and let 'em change your email. Problem solved. I wonder why people are not able to deal with support in a proper way first...

I did, certainly. And both, since I was watching the documentary Banking with Bitcoin.Kinda wanted to relate to the story somehow. And guess what ? Situation fits perfectly if you see it through a broader perspective.

My point being, why would you want rely on exchanges that follow the heavily regulated KYC policies when bitcoin was created to do exactly the opposite ? Since how long the exchanges are going to keep stealing bitcoins in the name of 'verification' and 'validation' ? I wonder why people don't seem to fit this in their peanut sized brains.

I have never trusted in that exchange, and i always advised a lot of newbies to never trade in there, it really looked like a shady exchange, and it's design is so ugly, i dont understand why a lot of people were investing in there, seriously, there are a lot of better options like bittrex or poloniex, and they are probably 100% more safe than hitbtc. So those who were trading in there, it is your fault if you lost your money, i dont know why you trusted in that scammy exchange.

Just b'cos of these scams i tried to wrote my own exchange.

There is no reason for people to say I made a mistake ,I just moved my coins there to do a transaction and I thought if there was some problem they wold help. And there was becasue the email was closed. How cold they be active for 4 years and then be trying to rob  the users and nothing happens with the govt. This is why I think this site is controlled by the FBI or the new world order forces that only want to spy on the people and work to steal and damage.
They hide their address anyways it is a  shell company made in deleware with the owners hidden by the FBI lawyers. In case you are not aware the fbi used to operate a website selling child porn look it up.Their support uses aliases and they steal much money from the users and nothing happens. How can this be happening if it is just a regular company? The fbi should be raining on them with problems but they do nothing. They said they would fix the account by disabling email verifications so I could move the money I just have to send in the id scans they wanted.I did that and they now will not respond or fix the problem. This shows they just wanted to collect information but not actually fix the problem!!

Just the way I see it:

Everyone is the one who is responsible, because they fortfeited Muchomail.

Exchanges need to take certain security measurements. What is someone hacked your Hitbtc account and was able to change the email address without a verification link send to the previous email address (notifying you), they could emty your accont in seconds. Days later you will go check your account and find 0 BTC. You would have come here and accused Hitbtc of haven stolen your money bla bla bla.

You see that's the reason they cannot just change your email address. They simply don't know it belongs to you. They don't know who you are if you haven't previously (before you lost access to your email) identified yourself with a proper ID document. So the only identifation that they had of you is that old email address.

I do not use Hitbtc and I don't care about them, but please stop moaning and accusing others of scammin you while it is just a matter of inconvenience. Have some patience and maybe it will be alright.

Yes, I'm starting to think Hitbtc is a SCAM as well....

I'm trying remove my 2FA from my account since I lost it. I have a ticket 35701 open for 11 days, and nothing. I already submitted all the info they needed. They don't respond to your tickets, and when they do, is always a different person, saying please have patience, we are working on your issue.....but it never get's resolved and I've already submitted my whole transaction history for verification. Other exchanges such as Poloniex, Coinbase, and Binance, resolved the same issue within the same day. And I am reading countless stories of people who lost their funds in HitBtc the same way, some have been waiting 2 months all the way up to a year. Which basically means they lost their money.

I plan to start going into every single post, youtube, twitter, facebook, and alerting everyone who uses HitBTC how much of a scam hitbtc is, I feel robbed and scammed.

EXACTLY THE SAME THING HAS HAPPENED TO ME - THEY STOLE 44K

I could no longer access the e-mail address on file. They stole 44k USD worth of ETH.

They said they would resolve it, it's been two months. I proved I owned the ETH wallet that funded the account, and was only asking them to withdraw to the only withdrawal address ever used. That was not good enough.

Months later I have sent them ID, they say fine now enable 2FA - I enable 2FA.

Now they still refuse to disable email authentication, and are making excuse after excuse not to pay. I have done everything they have asked, I have proven I own the account above and beyond reasonable doubt.

I am in contact with lawyers, they use shell companies, we are going after there banking and attempting to get a freeze order on it from a judge. I urge you to get in contact with me as soon as possible, or if you got this resolved let me know how you did.
