OK so on 1 of my L3's.

upgraded the firmware to 8/25/17 version, everything worked perfect, 2 days later #3 board disappeared, yet SOMETIMES hashed (showing full 502 MH) but never showed up.

15 restarts later, no change, figured the board was screwed, contacted support, they gave me ways to test it, BEFORE I could, now its showing #3 BUT with xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xx and its running a few degrees warmer (not much) has more HW errors, and is being called ASIC 26 where every other unit / board are 72.  ohh and it seems to be hashing fine now (see if that changes)

WTF does all this mean?

Thanks in advance

I have 8 running hardware verson 1.0.1.1 firmware with no issues. The ones that have 1.0.1.3 version have asic issues.

How hot is it in your mining-spot ? The chips should be at 60C° and not much more.
You can manually adjust the fan to 100% to determine if the heat is a prob.
It can happen that parts of the hashing-boards fail if you have a high room-temp.
Even the recommended 25C° by bitmain can be a bit high.

my miners are at 54 to 60. I dont believe heat would be the issue here. I just plugged these in yesterday. I have 13 other miners running fine for months at this temp. I have 3 of the 6 running fine from this batch but they have a different firmware on them.

I am looking for firmware Fri April 28 20 45 45 2017
Hardware version 1.0.1.1
Kernel 3.8.13 #22 SMP Tue Dec 2 2014

My temps 58 - 63
Room temperature is 28 - 30, tropical climate.
fan temps fan 1 : 3990 - fan 2 : 4020
Touching wood so far so good.
Will have to something about the room temp I suppose, thinking of an extractor fan or for now if it really gets too hot AC. ??
