I guess it now makes sense why you were looking for a way to modernize it [contactless payment] or rather integrate it into the original design.
Not only ... the country in which I live is far from penny/cents and euro cents, so contactless payments are the only choice.

Hey icopress I had no idea you were a technician/engineer or whatever it is you call people who make such electronics, I love this!
In general, I'm not a computer engineer, I'm just an engineer in the second specialty who was taught to disassemble and assemble an aircraft with my eyes closed, but in general there is not much difference if there is a guide on hand, and you need to understand the wiring and hardware.  Wink

Well I don't really know how it all works and how it all fits in together, and you'll give me some excuse for lumping it all together under engineering but if you can put together and pull apart an aircraft, then I've no doubt you can do anything simpler.

I could not even put together a simple remote control car with a guide, and a video to follow, and this was when my brain was still sharper many years ago, so understand that your skill is not as "common" as you think Smiley

~Snipped~
Despite being a beginner in 3D designing, I'm confident enough that I could either recreate it [for free] in STL format [assuming that there won't be any legal issues] or come up with a different design [perhaps a compact one].
- I tried my best to find the measurements for each part but since I don't know my way around GitHub, I couldn't find it. If you or anybody else provides the measurement for the components and parts, I wouldn't mind spending some time to come up with a design for the community [without charge].

I think many of us who enjoy playing around with this stuff would like the STLs. Don't forget to post a donation address. :-)
The biggest thing for me is the fact that you can get a not total garbage 3d printer for under $200 now. And many people if they don't have one at least know someone with a 3d printer or have access to a 3d printer.

But, even a base cutter that is not 100% junk is 4x the price and there are just fewer people with them.

-Dave

Here's the chassis without the inner shapes/spaces for the components: LightningATM STL file
Note: I only used random measurements and it still requires some adjustments (please don't waste a filament to print the above "invalid" 3D design [it's just an example]).

For a valid 3D design, I have to know the exact measurements:
