I sent bitcoin cash by accident to my Bitcoin wallet. Is the money lost?
The status on the sent payment is Sending to your wallet/processing.
I did send it to the wrong wallet but I do own the wallet, its just bitcoin instead of bitcoin cash.
Is the bitcoin cash lost forever or is there a way to recover them?

BTC/BCH use different chains but the same wallets/passwords. Use the private key for the address you sent BCH to to recover the wallet.

If you know the private key, import it into a new wallet, then you can access to your coins. If you don't know the private key or you have sent them to an exchange, most probably you have lost them.

When you say " private key" do you mean the "Hash" on the chain block? I am signed into the wallet that I sent it to however it has not show that it has been received, on the other end is a currently exchange website which seem to be stuck on "sending" for the last 2 hours. Maybe it will not send to the bitcoin wallet since its bitcoin cash? In that event, is the bit coin cash still on the exchange website or is there a recovery option? Thanks. |

The private key to your bitcoin wallet is the same private key to the bitcoin cash wallet you sent to, use that to recover the bitcoin cash wallet. The BCH WILL send because the wallet you sent it to is a BTC & BCH wallet. |

You can download Breadwallet app and import the private key there.
Then go to Menu > Settings > Advanced > Withdraw BCH - and it will let you send that BCH to an address of your choice.
Assuming you dont want to just leave it there on the address its currently tied to.

If you tell us that, then someone that is familiar with that kind of wallet can tell you how to get the private key of the address you sent to. |

Fron what others said you have to get your private keys of the receiving bitcoin address so you can get your BCH balance on your bitcoin addresss. You have be careful with this situations and double check or even tripled check the receiving address before sending it because once you send you cant cancelled it.

I did triple check and the address was correct but I got tripped up by Bitcoin vs Bitcoin cash. This is literally my first day doing this. So you are saying the last bitcoin address can be translated into a key somehow? Does it matter that the wallet was an online wallet and not on my cell phone or desktop? I purchase the bitcoins from website #1, transferred to website #2 wallet, then transferred to an website # 3( website to exchange bitcoin for bitcoin cash) then point the output to the bitcoin wallet on website # 2. So the private keys are in that address or can be translated from that address? Do I need to contact the website administrator to get this or I just use that address to get it somehow? Please help me out a little, this is all new to me. Thanks. |

You have to be careful beforehand. It's a bitcoin big step. If there is a mistake, then it will be very difficult to take the life forward. Because if everything goes wrong then improvement in life will be difficult. Send it before sending it so that it will not be wrong. If it is wrong then there is no way to get it back.

BTC and BCH used same private key and address! So you may be import private key of your BTC ( you sent in mistake) to BCH wallet! But you need sent all BTC To other wallet for security!

I usually save money by blockchain, this is one of kind bitcoin wallet I know, if you save money more carefully, avoid to lost btc, you can archive btc by cold wallet ( offline )

Its the same procedure how you claimed Bitcoin Cash from the fork If you had done that. Export your private keys and you will find them in the wallet. I suggest not to keep any BTC on that wallet if you are trying that.

you don't have to worry, just use private key of your BTC wallet and spend your coins. because both addresses are adhere to same chain.

It's all ok, you still have your bcash in your ledger. If you can retrieve the private keys of the address you sent bcash to just import them in abc (desktop) or coinomi (android) bcash wallet. |
