Hi bro,in my view mining the monero coin is best.Monero is a Proof of Work cryptocurrency that can be miner with computational power from a CPU or GPU. There are currently no ASICs for Monero, which means that anyone with a computer can mine it.

The first thing you need to think about is if you are going to mine solo or on a pool. Mining on a pool usually comes with a fee but also has it's advantages. Users that don't have enough computational power may have to wait long periods of time before getting a reward, in a pool users pull their efforts together in order to reduce variance and have a steady flow of income. Users that have enough hardware or simply want to mine solo can also benefit from solo pools which function in the same way as normal solo mining, but don't require users to run a full node or store the entire blockchain. We are going to use MoneroHash for this guide, but you can use any pool you like.

Soon the mining of Ethereum will be called into question. Now they are switching to POS and I have heard that to get the Ethereum can only those who have counts of 1,000 coins. I think it will be the collapse of the ETH. I don't like when the rules change during the game.

I like to mine monero, I tried this for 2 days on my I3 laptop, with the software from minergate, I was makiing with an I3 around 10 cents/day. This is good, but I quit because I considered that was not sufficient. Mybe I'll return to monero mining, it is a good and promising alt-coin.
I also mined bitcoin on Hashnest for some weeks, but I quit about two weeks ago. Maybe I'll return also to Hashnest in some weeks from now. hashnest is very good and promising.

Zcash is now on the top of all the cryptocurrencies, but its mining program is not too stable. And mining LBRY gives about as much as mining Zcash, but LBRY program doesnt crash.

I can't attain to mine bitcoin as those ASIC miners are always not on stock. I prefer to mine alt coins now with the use of GPU though there's a shortage before but right now they are all up and good to use again. Before I'm mining ETH but the difficulty has increased and I'm keep on researching on what coin is good to mine and most of my fellow countrymen are into Monero mining.

Mining BTC used to be very profitable, but now the competition has increased, is it actually still profitable? Do the Segwit updates affect mining much?

I like mining eth + lby on my gpu   Cheesy

edit: just like mining for fun/ holding coins :p

You may not realize that this fun can actually help you to live your dreams in coming time if you mine some good ETH qty and if the price moves one way upwards then you will have some good profits and who know you may become millionaire if prices reach anywhere near btc in coming 5 years.

You can benchmark your rig and it'll suggest a coin to mine (or more) based on your bench results using Minergate and their desktop GUI client - you can get it here http://bit.ly/MinerGPool . Pool fee can be as low as 1%. If you want to solo or pool mine, you can also check out the hardware comparison site for relatively up to date hash rates: http://mininghwcomparison.com/list/index.php
As for the ZEC switch, definitely worth considering, but don't discard ETC mining or UBQ (both using eth algo). They have pretty similar returns and won't go PoS anytime soon!
Update: there's currently a display bug in the minergate dashboard not displaying the gains, but they're working on it. Happy mining!

all definitely agree with bitcoin. and the second coin that I choose is ethereum, these two coins can we mine with the same gpu and this is not difficult, for the miners who already have the complete components have been in the two coins will make sure they mine because these two coins have a more promising prospect in compare other coins

It would definitely be Curecoin/Foldingcoin as far as GPU mining goes. Because finding cures for cancer is kind of important.

I use cryptocurrency and solar power to help my best friend Naomi Wu... And I'm proud of it!

But is the competition for bitcoin not too steep at this point for mining? what is, in personal experience, the most money/time coin. I thought bitcoin wasn't even top? i thought the ideal strategy is to mine other coin and exchange?
-Thanks

I have tried mining Curecoin, but it was extremely slow, the electricity bill was higher than the value of the total Curecoin mined.

i think if we have high end hardware, mining bitcoin is still good and if we can handle electricity fee then we are fine. i already trying to mining ltc in the past and i only used gridseed blade and so far i can make some nice amount but unfortunately, i am stop my mining because i am moving into another places which have high fee electricity.

With your experience, how often do the miners break down and need to be replaced? Newer miners can cost thousands, it's a shame if they stopped working.

I am eagerly looking forward to mining Dash from my latest research knowing the wonders the D3 can perform within a month or two. I believe that is good enough for anyone going into mining most especially for the first time. Hopefully, I am able to get one directly from bitmain.

Most mainers prefer BTC, ETH and XMR. And though the Monero transactions take more place than Bitcoin, I'd like to try mining Monero. The privacy of Monero transactions will give an advantage to this currency in future.

Of course i think the most sought for the mining or most mining is bitcoin for the mined by many people doing the mining because of course we know bitcoin has the highest value among other crypto coins. Even if i doing a mining, of course i choose bitcoin for mining than other coins, but maybe many people who already have enough capital to do mining, will do other mining on some other coins as well, who the prices is tolerable high beside bitcoin.

I prefer btc, because btc is more qualified than other coins, although few days back btc has decreased significantly, you try to see progress now.
eth is an alternative coin of my choice, but I`m studying eth to date to find something right.

I mined ETH, but because the soon to arrive change to POS, and the increase of complexity, i decided to sell our miners, we build 5 eth miners, with a speed between 120 and 160 mhz, depending on heath, causing the cards to work at a lower rate, (each rack had 5 cards, we used r9 290 cards, and rx480 cards), but eventually per miner we got around 1.2 eth per month, and then eth started crashing, so we started to breakeven, (when adding electricity costs etc) so we decided to sell our hardware. We are now mining x11 coins, we have 10 antminers d3 and 5s9's. Though profit has gone down drastically we still believe, we can gain profit from it.

Currently mining (Antminer d3)
DASH,
CANNABISCOIN

GuldenCoin (Antminer s9);

Previously Mining:
ETH (homemade mining rigs running ETHOS)
Bitcoin (spoondoolytech miner, can't remember modelnr)

I use whattomine and cryptocompare website, the stay up to date on coins/profit on coins.

hope this gives you some ideas! gl!

I'm not sure what to choose. Please help. Use a cloud mining firm or hardware mining. If cloudmining which is best for biggest return. Also what hardware vs power consumption is best? Considering antmine7. Anyone has one is it any good? Thank you

I don’t think so that mining requires investing it only requires nonstop electricity and a heavy system to be used for mining. They will simply use your system for their work and pay you in bitcoin and that’s all. All you must be worried about electricity bills because it consumes a lot of electricity.

I mine in a multipool (zpool) with GPUs nvidia, according with profitability I chose between neoscrypt, blake2s, nist5 or sib (better algos for GPU), right now I am mining neoscrypt, my hardware is 1 1060@6gb and 1 1050ti@4gb, miner is also important, some miners can to have higher hash rate than others, currently I have 1mh with both cards

OP, you seem to have some experience in the matter. But my question to you is how profitable have you been in terms of your own mining ventures? I myself would like to get into the market, but if the profit isn't worth while then I can't see any reason in doing so.

I think to think in terms of algorithm. I stay away from SHA256, Scrypt, and even X11 now. Anything with an ASIC means difficulty will keep going up. Cryptonight but even Monero (XMR) difficulty is really high now. I usually look for low difficulty altcoins that has potential.

I have 3 rigs running dual mining with ethereum as primary and SIA as secondary! I like the results of the ethereum mining, and am actually considering stopping the SIA mining and sending all power towards the ethereum. It has been working well, although definitely not a get rich quick scheme! The more I scale it up, the more passive income generated monthly!!

i like to mining bitcoin but unfortunately i can not mining right now because i don't have any hardware or i still thinking about how to solve my electricity fee. before mining, we should calculate how much electricity fee we have to spend in a day or a month. i can buy some hardware to start mining but if i can not pay the electricity fee then i can not make profit at all.

Yeah, electricity costs definitely affect mining profitability. Some places have lower fees than others, it is much more profitable to mine there.  Is electricity expensive where you live?

i mine bitcoins lately on freebitco.in because they recently opened a new feature called browser mining thats why its possible now for me to mine bitcoins even without a pc or a mining hardware although it takes much time to earn bitcoins passively because im only using a low end mobile phone but soon im planning to upgrade on a real asic miner.

It has always been Bitcoin but now with the new D3 ASIC from bitmain, I am beginning to consider mining Dash seriously if I get my hand on the next batch.

Purely, we are all mining so we can see some profit quickly, apparently that is the reason we invest anyway, so, from my calculations, if the D3 can give me my ROI back in a monthly, all things being equal, I wonder why I would not want to like that best.

I think Monero (XMR) is the most profitable at the moment (without a huge farm of rigs)

I prefer ethash because it keep gpus quite and cool. Which ensures happy and long life for the gpus and their fans.
I like claymore, mostly because of the nice monitoring tool. I forwarded poets so I can monitor rigs not only locally.

But of course this is nothing to do with profitablility at the moment Sad

Whattomine has another idea about that.
Did you make parallel tests? What gpus?

I like to mine BCN, ETH, SIA.
Doing so with Nicehash, Minergate and with a miner for SIA.
Not getting rich... but hope when prices go up, to get more then even.

I have some AMD GPUs which are mining XMR with profit. Although I'm from Germany where electricity is very expensive Wink

i think if we have high end hardware, mining bitcoin is still good and if we can handle electricity fee then we are fine. i already trying to mining ltc in the past and i only used gridseed blade and so far i can make some nice amount but unfortunately, i am stop my mining because i am moving into another places which have high fee electricity.

Yeah... most of us have been there
BTC are still fine, but a friend of mine started with ETH minning and so far he said it's a bit more profitable. But I'm not sure if its going to last. At least with BTC you have some sort of peace of mind, knowing that you are earning the golden standard, so to speak, of cryptocurrency.
