I beg to disagree. I highly doubt that men in general think that women are inferior to them. I'm surprised why this is even an issue. Men are only superior when it comes down to physical strength, other than that is fair game. I know a lot of men that are outperformed by women. I am man myself and I have a lot of respect for women in all regards. Never have I thought of claiming superiority over women.

I am not sure exactly how it all began but I suppose it could have started as a matter of physical strength/power. Unfortunately, once a certain power dynamic is entrenched (men are strong and worthy, women are weak and worthiless), it is hard to break free from that. So over so many years, there has been the disharmony, the unbalanced dynamic, but it is increasingly coming undone at the edges.

Being physically strong and being able to fight in the war do not necessarily make men superior to women.
Men must be aware that their 'superior' body and mind all came from their mother who is (mostly) a woman.
Any man would not be able to grow up as a decent adult without a person who can raise him and the person is (mostly) a woman.
In some cases, men are stronger and better but in many cases, there are a lot of things that men cannot do without the help of women.

In most of the cases, it is the other way around. Not many of the men think that males are inferior to the females. But some of them do think that they are superior to the women. Apart from culture, religion can also play a major role in such thinking. The ultra-religious usually tend to be male chauvinists.

Not all the time, usually it depends on what society they are from. The culture is one big factor, where they follow a certain rule where women should be lower than men.

But these days, it doesn't matter anymore, some women are now world leaders and some are in military and equally doing what their male counterpart can do.

Most men think women are inferior because they are biologically smaller and women are more emotional and caring, too, mostly because of their hormones.
Like just imagine a battle between a man and a woman both on average based on sex. Funny how leadership on early civilizations is based on physical strength.
