Just wanted to say hi and get involved with the community here. Set up my miner today, I have an Alienware m17xr2 with dual ATI 4870 cards that im not using. loaded Ubuntu and poclbm and currently getting 2.33 million hashes per sec. From what i have read most people dont prefer solo mining but im gonna stick with this for now, I used the various forum posts to get it up and running with little hassle. Great community.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. EWallets are like banks -- a central organization has complete control over your money. You shouldn't put much money in EWallets.
