Is the wallet and private key yours? IF so then what ever happens you should still be in control. If you don't own the wallet (private keys) then technically its not your bitcoin, you might be owed an amount in bitcoin but not necessarily that exact coin.

I recommend you having the money where only you are the owner of your private keys or have it in an exchange like bittrex that always lists the coins of the bitcoin forks so quickly that it allows you to take advantage of the price of bitcoin.

Clearly no one above took the time to research what is Coinb.in and a Time-Locked Address - nothing new actually.

I will risk and say that you will be able to do so - if you still have the redeem script ofcourse;

I also have some coins (including BCH) stored in a Time-Locked Address that will be available for spendings next week. When the time comes, I will try to recover my BCH from the wallet and update you if everything went ok. If it's possible for Bitcoin Cash, it will most likely be possible for other future forks aswell.

If you really want BTG that badly then Buy bitcoin now before the Hard Fork occur because I think Everyone that wants Free BTG should buy Bitcoin before the Bitcoin Gold fork day so can get their free BTG, it is the first real Bitcoin dividend-coin because unlike Bcash and Segwit2X, BTG is friendly to Bitcoin. I think BTG is considered friendly to bitcoin, And because Bcash and S2X are hostile to Bitcoin because they try to steal the Bitcoin brand name by deceiving uninformed investors, and I think BTG is somewhat different because it identifies itself as new cryptocurrency I would really want to invest and hold until the Hard Fork to get free BTG.

BTC (Bitcoin Gold) Say we can get free for the next hardfork. So if you are holding bitcoins during fork you will receive BTC. But this is only for those with wallets that hold the private keys and supported giving BTG. It happened the first hard fork where the air drop BCC - See if the coinb.in has supported the BTC so you know if you can get it

So much wrong informations is going around these days and people aren't just trying to research more. He's not talking about the potential hard fork in November but rather the soft fork in October (next month).

The soft fork in October is generally the same as Bitcoin Cash, which mean that the coin exist because of human greed. That could also mean that the coin have no reason to exist in the first place. I wouldn't sink too much time and money in for Bitcoin Gold though.

for future reference:
whenever there is an airdrop, a contentious fork,... or generally anything like that which is giving you free new coins, all you need is your private keys. so no matter what wallet you are using, try to figure out if you have access to your private keys or not. if you have then you can receive all those airdrops too. if not then it is impossible.

There is a FOMO brewing...

Bitcoin Gold would be pumped by some rich people just like BCH, so that means it's just another free money for us holders of BTC. Also about OP's question, the hardfork will take place by October 25 and it's not a soft fork since it will completely be on a different chain and will use the Equihash algorithm (which is used by Zcash) and means that GPU-farms will be alive again. And yes, even if you're on a time-lock address, as long as you have the coins in your control by 10.25.17, you would still get your share by 11.1.17

How long did you have your coins locked up for if you dont mind me asking?

And thank you I would appreciate the update once you find out Smiley

Pretty sure I should be good to go since I own the private keys and redeem script and what not.

Thanks!

Tremendously amusing proposition. It has some fishy parts.  I shall inquire more.
