I think terrorists are individuals or groups who like to create chaos such as bombing and shooting and killing innocent people

It's the negative way in religion. There is no meaning of terrorist just terrifying people in this Earth.

There are different types of terrorists. Terror outfits which are based on religion is only one among the many types. Even the religion-based terrorists can be classified in to many groups, such as the Islamist terrorists (ISIS, Al Qaeda, Janjaweed, Boko Haram, Taliban.etc) and Christian terrorists (NDFB, NSCN, NLFT.etc).

Classic terrorist:
Someone or a member of a group who commit a terrorist attack.

Classic terrorist attack:
A violent attack on a target which is unrelated to the goal of the terrorists, usually a civilian target, for the purpose of creating fear or terror so that the people will force their government to negotiate with the terrorists. The terrorists then have the opportunity to get what they want.

Bombing a shopping mall due to disagreements about military actions would be terrorism. Bombing a military unit in response to military actions would be called a militant attack or similar.

Terrorist \Ter"ror*ist\, n. [F. terroriste.]
   1. One who governs by terrorism or intimidation;
specifically, an agent or partisan of the revolutionary
tribunal during the Reign of Terror in France. --Burke.
      [1913 Webster]

   2. One who commits terrorism[2].
      [PJC]

From WordNet (r) 3.0 (2006) [wn]:
  terrorist
n 1: a radical who employs terror as a political weapon; usually
organizes with other terrorists in small cells; often uses
religion as a cover for terrorist activities

America's version of terrorist:
Any militant group or individual that isn't part of the legitimate army of a United Nations recognized nation state, which does not support the interests of the United States.

America's version of militant attack
Any attack from a militant group or individual which is being funded by interests of the USA, such as rebels being supported from the outside to overthrow Gadaffi.
Terrorist is a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims. A terrorist can be anybody, they operate in small bands of 3-5 members, target the property or of their enemy.

Terrorists are not villians. They are just exosted people from the Third World countries. They also scared us like we do. Obviously they had unbearable life cause of constant lack of food and medications. System forced them to work for peanuts. They slept on the cold floor and was dreaming about happy life. Some of these people has really rotten souls, but we are guilty before them. For ordinary man t is very difficult understand that shit, cause government apply to us the "agenda-setting" method, so that we never know the real world situation

It will never end in debating radicalism or terrorism. This such militant groups have been exist since hundreds years ago. These radical groups are also very intense influencing human by teaching faith and paradigm-paradigm so that not a few young people who anesthetized by the pseudo-paradigm. Even many young men who want to sacrifice himself to become a suicide bomber. This radical thinking and movements are usually associated with ideological and religious factors. The term radicalism is the result of labeling of religious and political movements that have distinguishing characteristics from mainstream religious and political movements.

Radicalism caused terrorism. Radicalism in the context of understanding shallow texts and religious norms. Radicalism in the context of being trapped in the political situation and Western hegemony. Radicalism in the context of being dissatisfied with the performance of the government and wanting to make a big revolution. Therefore, radicalism in the name of religion is not infrequently then cause the conflict, disturbing the stability and security of the country.

Terrorists are people whom their brains are washed by other people whom have interest in taking advantage from certain situations of society. These terrorists are fearless of death and driven to spread fear in certain place by using teachings of their faith. The terrorists don't even know what is truly goal of their action, they only know what has been ordered.

Terrorism is directly related to violence. Thus, terrorists are violent. And if we speak of violence, we do not speak alone in the physical threats and harm they imposed, but also the emotional and psychological threat and harm they leave to the people involved. Terrorist are humans that does not know the concept of humanity. They are technically human that are inhumane. I personally think that terrorist do not have a 'reasonable cause' or even just a 'cause' why they are doing things that are against the law and degrading the morale of the community. And that is the worst thing about them. They do horrible things for nothing but purely destruction. Unlike other criminals who do it with intentions.

Generally speaking, terrorists purposefully target civilians in order to instill fear and terror in the public which they are targeting. They also are generally not directly connected to a conventional military, although conventional militaries have carried out acts of terrorism and state(-sponsored) terrorism can exist as well.. Terrorists do not have or follow any rules of engagement nor do they try to limit collateral damage. In fact, a terrorist’s goal is usually to kill and maim innocent civilians. Terrorists are the scum of the Earth no matter their motivations.

Terrorist is someone or group of people whose their Main aim is to kill civilians using bomb and gun.Terrorist are not looking for one political benefit or the other unlike militant that want political benefit or inclusiveness in governance.
If you ask terrorist what their problems are, just to stop them from killing people, they will tell you what you can never do in life. For example terrorist May tell you to stop attending Christian churches if you keep on attending it, they will come and bomb the church. They target helpless civilians and even rape women on the process of carrying out their deadly attacks and this is prevalent in Muslim countries.

This is an interesting subject. I don't really understand why the original author posted these definitions, but it's something worth thinking about. To me, this is one of those words that we hear far to often, but we sometimes don't stop to think about what it actually mean or what it's origins are. By some of the definitions that you shared here, a lot of things probably shouldn't be called terrorist attacks that are. If a deranged man runs over a bunch of people in his truck, but he is not affiliated with any group and doesn't have any apparent motive, I guess that shouldn't be called a terrorist attack. I read that recently a man shots several people in Toronto. If he didn't have any political or religious aims, then by most definitions that wouldn't be considered a terrorist attack.
