Question: Would you buy a 16 GPU prebuilt rackmount mining rig?
Shut up and take my money!
Yes, but offer a barebones option (without GPUs) as well.
Maybe. . . Tell me more.
No thanks. I prefer to build my own.

Cost will be a big thing. Today I can build a 16 RX 570/580 card rig with open air frame for $3500-$4000. IDK that you could build it, market it and still have margins in it.

Could you link a page you can buy 16 RX570 or RX580 for less than 3500-4000$ ? Smiley
I would buy 10 of those rigs from you right now for 3500$ - 4000$ / each
Can you provide us some details about those 16x RX 570-580 builds for 3500-4000$ please Smiley with detailed parts/price as of today October 3 -2017 ?

I said build not buy. The RX 570/580 can be found in the USA specialty stores for ~ $220-$230. If to buy in bulk you can easily get them for that price if not less by buying at least 5000 units.
$150 server PSU + Pico PSU. $25 plastic open mount rack and zip ties at Lowe's. $100 cheap Chinese mining board with riser CPU. $150 for RAM, CPU and SSD.

OK! Can you post some links where you can get rx570 and rx580 cards for 220-230$ in the usa with free shipping Smiley

Really quick because I'm at work. This is a Rx 470 for $255 shipped  Use a10% coupon that you can find anywhere, use a CC that has the 2% rebate and all of a sudden you are at $225.

If you doing your due diligence you can get much better deals. But, you have to want to and try.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Waiting just for dozens of bucks discount doesn't sound reasonable to me. While you are waiting, the difficulty of mining goes up quickly.

16 GPUs in a 4U rackmount may look good, but have you considered about ventilation yet?
I think it could be hard, I'm willing to purchase if its price around 4800$ - 5000$ and each card temperature should be less than 73C.

Without scale, it'll be a LOT more than that, but with scale, I could get quite a good value.
Maybe even under $5K.

Ventilation is being heavily considered in our designs, and we'll actively select the GPUs that we install based on ventilation.
No promises regarding 73°C just yet, but I'm optimistic. We're really trying to put the airflow through the finished prototype. (which doesn't yet exist) Thinking either Noctua or Delta High-CFM, High static pressure fans. We've got a lot of fins to work around.

In America the prices are a bit lower than elsewhere but not to this extent. I think OP just saw a Scam site or this website sells GPU working in the mining 1-2 years. I do think that mining on a GPU is a thing of the past. I absolutely do not see economic benefit to do it now. As soon as people will understand the price of the GPU should be reduced. This is the actual price you call, but demand is still too high to be able to buy the GPU at reasonable prices.

I actually just saw a gap in the ranks as far as prebuilt systems. 6-8 GPU solutions are being offered, but there's room in a typical 4U case for as many as 16 if you play your cards right.

It's not a scam site is microcenter. They are in the majority of USA and mail 10% coupons every month. I just got 13 MSI Armor 570's from them at ~$221 locally with coupon before tax. Fry's, another major USA retailer was selling Asus 480's for 147+ tax and shipping the other day. Got 2 before they ran out. It is the same for many other places. You can get 1060 3g for $199+ shipping almost everyday if you know where to look.
Many people just go Newegg and Amazon and that's it. There is a whole world out there and you can get great deals if you try just a little bit.

I would not even CONSIDER having anything to do with a single rig with 16 GPUs.
I don't even want to THINK about trying to cool such a rig in a 4u case - 8 GPUs would be bad enough.
Might be possible using a water-cooling setup, but the entire front of the case better be one BEEFY radiator and even then it's going to be marginal.

Microcenter isn't in "the majority of the USA", though they are somewhat widespread.
They're MOSTLY a "Great Lakes States" regional chain, based out of Ohio, with a FEW stores in some major cities not in their primary region.

Fry's is mostly West Coast with a couple "out of area" stores in major cities, based out of San Jose California (unless they moved their HQ away from where their ORIGINAL store was at).
Again, a big regional not a nationwide chain.

It's also worth checking out Tiger Direct, they sometimes have some really good deals on GPUs.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

So instead of losing 6 cards when a rig crashes you lose 16.....ill pass.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.
