I would look into Syscoin, it has masternodes coming out next month which can help pump the current price.

One coin that I find very interesting that sounds like a great idea but may be too early to be adaptable is ammbr. The token sale for the coin is not until next month but the idea to put wireless on the blockchain is great.

The safest to invest in right now would probably be ETH.

Beside BTC & ETH I would hodl

ARDR as BaaS - very good Team, excellent UI and many features

LISK as Java based DApp Solution sounds promising to me

GAMECREDITS/ MGO in Gaming sector with a very solid and ambitious team imo

IOTA because of the Tangle aspect - many good reason for more security for IOT future

CIVIC because KYC will always be an issue - better having it blockchain-based -
There's a use case, there's adoption for Civic - especially after Equifax issue

SALT because lending market will be huge and team is very solid with Erik Voorhees on board

if we are talking about holding any altcoin for 2-3 years, i still could trust only a few altcoins which are top on the cryptomarket.
otherwise, if you want to trust invest an altcoin from the rough, you should research and follow all progresses about the project very closely.
2 or 3 year that we talking about is quite long duration and in this process everything could be.

If I have cryptos for now and plan to hold it for 2-3 years, I just go for Ethereum or even Bitcoin because this are two are the top cryptos for now and very good for investment.

It's really hard to predict of course, though it always is. So that's how my list would look like:

OmiseGo
Monera
AirCoin
Litecoin

That's what personally think, though it's always up to you as you are making investments only at your own risk. So take into consideration what you personally think as advice of others is no more than advice- that cannot mean that someone knows for sure. And of course there is BTC as a safer option, but none of the assets (both real and cryptocurrencies) are 100% protected from fluctuations or devaluation, so stay cautious and trust yourself.

2 years is a lot of time for the crypto market. I predict there will be many coins in the top30 that don't even exist today. With that said, i think Ethereum is a must in any long term portfolio, and i would also pick some promising coins with good development progress.

Altcoins that are worth to hold for 2-3 years are NEO, ETH, WAVES, ADEX, XEM, OMG, STRATIS. These coin has a big potential to grow more with a great developer and team.

Try to join airdrops to get their tokens and hold it for some years.
I think it's profitable to hold them when you read their roadmap, try the risk besides we got it for free so nothing to lose.

2-3 years is not a fast time although this is a pretty good thing but my advice you must be good at choosing which coin is right to be stored for long period of time. keep BTC and ETH for the time as long as the price is still at the highest level because crypto is unpredictable for a long time. so in my opinion better you immediately exchange coins that you save with USD when the price is down. this I think it is quite safe to do because storing too long will also increase the risk level is high enough.

I definitely agree with you. I am also really optimistic on Stratis. 2018 they should have working products and beginn to operate with business customers. The recent pump was just because of the cryptohype in general.

I would recommend you to buy waves, straits and ripple. All of these coins are very popular and can show good amount of growth in future. Waves is regarded as ethereum killer by many and believe that it will replace ethereum in future. You can expect it's price to be above 50$ in 2-3 years.
Ripple is another coin I would recommend you to buy and hold. The coin is based upon the idea of global value exchange and global banking. Good returns can be expected within 2-3 years.
STRATIS is friends with big names like microsoft which makes it a coin with very high potential.you can expect itss price to double itself in coming years.

There are so many altcoins that has shown huge prospect this year and great chance of performing and I believe 2 years is a bit long for them to even do better. STRAT is one for sure, and I am really looking at this coin for longer prospect among others. The year has been tough though for some of this projects with BTC's development and anyone wise would really use this opportunity to stash some of this coins.
