Holding for that long can earn you a lot of money if you exchange it in the highest price on the market for that time.
Everyday, the value of coins changes. It varies if it decreases or increases.
But i dont advice holding coins for that long.
Technology nowadays are very unique and someone might hack your account.
It is better to prevent those kind of things.

it's too long for coin hold time, the best coin hold period is 6 months since ico ends and in wajtu it's been able to get a good price. so I think too holding the coins is not good.

True. It is impossible to hold these coins for two or even three years. Are you sure that these alts will alive after such a long period of time passes? I can guess that you can pick Ethereum and NEO and hold them for 8-12 months.

2-3 years is not a short time. this includes long term investment dude. are you sure to hold altcoin for a long time? whereas many altcoins do not survive in just a few months. if you still want to hold altcoin better use altcoin that has been proven to have many users like Ethereum, Neo, Ripple, Waves. it will be safer than you are looking for and holding new altcoin that you think is potential..

I don't have altcoins for you, I barely have an altcoin I'd like to offer. Because that is above 10 years in normal time (crypto standard time runs faster) I would only advise holding onto Ethereum out of the pack. If I was feeling frisky I would say go for a privacy alt like Dash or Monero but I wouldn't feel confident in that, only investing in Ethereum for sure.

If you want to hold altcoin for the 2-3 years then I suggests you to hold etherum..because nowadays it rate increased too much and in future it will also increase.And I also suggests you to invest in ETN. ETN have stable price and i think ETN price can increase in 2-3 years.

I think you are holding Altcoin 2 to 3 years is too long. Yes, you are using long term. But it would be nice if in the short term the price of coins you hold has gone up very high. You should just sell it. If the price that I fear the price will go down even more and you lose more.

I will consider ins token as long term investment. They aim to create producer to customer direct commerce eliminating intermediaries. Their platform will be available at the Q4 2018. The devs are working attending conferences and signing contracta with producers.
It's too hard to know what happens in 2-3 years in crypto market. If there exist such as market , i am sure that ins will be in good place.

I do not think that long term investing in altcoins are great idea, maybe investing in stable crypto for 2-3 years is better idea?? And investing in risky altcoins for 3-5 months is great chance to earn a lot of money

I like that kind of investment too. Buy a high potential coin for almost free and forget about it. After couple of years you are rich. Sounds fun. Currently i am holding espers and tron as long term investment. I am planing to keep them for 2 years at least.
