Still new to this so i have a couple questions if thats ok. There are supposedly 2 forks coming up in OCT and NOV

Whats the different between these 2 forks?
Why are people more worried about the second one in NOV & Why will that one affect the price more?
Whos in charge of these forks? Bitcoin coders themselves or others?

Thanks!

You have nothing to worry about. There's nothing to worry about. Just make sure your coins are in awallet that gives you access to private keys. Do not leave your coins in an exchange. Noone knows how the market will react, we are not see the future. Forks happen, just keep calm and relax.

Any info on the second fork though? Something to do with segwit2x. This is the one people think will have big moves in price. Could be an opportunity to buy if the price dips for a while.

You all know that with the first fork, the price only went up a lot, from $2300 to $3400 in just three days, so why are you afraid of it now? I received some free coins when the fork happened, and i see it as a good thing, so everybody is expecting a succesfull fork in november, because i dont think that anyone doesnt like free money.
Just lets wait until the fork happens.

Segwit2x increases Bitcoin's block size, solves the bitcoin scalability problem.
Some users are scared that the fork goes wrong that it will decrease the price.
There are also strong arguments against it that it will centralize the coin.
Because bigger blocks require more power which could lead to less people running full nodes.
So the power comes in hands of big mines/corporations.

Price may fall short term as happened in the previous fork, but more than likely will increase again as happened in the past.

There is nothing to worry, since the fork hardly will get enough hash to cause a significant drop in the Bitcoin network hash rate and there will be no relation between the new forked coin and the old Bitcoin network

Much better and do this thing. I'm trusting his words with certain events like this and it's an effective tip and tutorial from him last time before the bitcoin cash fork.

Whats the different between these 2 forks?

They will be the same treated as alt coins.

Why are people more worried about the second one in NOV & Why will that one affect the price more?

Because they are calling it as the real test in bitcoin. Yes it will affect the price, it can go down but surely after that it will increase.

It will be great to see explanation by Theymos. Every investor/trader should do his homework and analyze the market before entering any position.

Yes I’ve always looking forward for his update about it,, I’m one of them who read and amaze how his analysis on the matters and instructions are mostly accurately researched and well organised.. Theymos is still one of the best in this forum,, i hope it will be sooner so that we know what we gonna do at those fork that coming..

The way I see it, without having to understand all of the technical stuff, is that the people in charge of forks and other changes to bitcoin also happen to own a lot of it.  At least from what I understand.  While there may be powerful parties who disagree with each other, such as Bitmain vs Segwit, at the end of the day nobody involved wants bitcoins to become worthless.

I have only owned it for a couple of years.  But the whole time the sky is always falling.  There is always a crisis on the horizon.  But there are lots of people far more talented than I am who figure out solutions to the problems.  But usually its not even a problem, just FUD.

I am interested to see how to approach this fork so soon after the last one.  I am a little concerned about it with how the last one went so well everyone will expect this one do to the same.  We have seen BTC rebound since the last drop which I suspect is people stocking up on coins to ensure they get the most out of the split.  Hopefully that is what happens again but I am nervous for sure about if it goes the opposite way and tanks.  Hoping for best and have alot more reading to do before we hit the fork.

He can sure worry about his bitcoin  if it is not secured in a private key wallet because there is not an assurance if your coins are really safe in just an open wallet like web wallet, you can surely gain free coins but your Bitcoin will not be sure to be safe if it just sits in a web wallet, I think providing OP a little bit information about this will surely take away his fear and doubt over the impending Hard Fork.

i am not sure about the different between these 2 forks, maybe other member can explain. i think we don't have to worried with the fork that will happen. the most important is save your private keys if you save your bitcoin in the other wallet and place it on the secret place. i think the fork is like before and if we can get free amount like before then i think its good because we can sell it to take profit. its better that you only save the btc you have in your private wallet if you are not sure with the exchanges.
