Harfork? Isn't it hardfork anymore? Rolls eyes. Anyway, going by the experience of August 1 Bitcoincash birth, I don't expect much drama in the coming November fork. Only that people could lose their btc while trying to move them from wallet to wallet just to acquire bounties from the new coin that will launch. Also, there could be a price jump of the new coin as was with Bitcoincash because of hype and expectations. My advice to OP should be to hodl hIs Bitcoin and not panic.

For my point of view even on 1st of August thing looked serious to me. But back than i didn't know how strong Bitcoin is. It was new thing to me, and I must admit that I started fearing a bit for my investment. In that moment I decided to sell... but I made a mistake. Not long after that Bitcoin price recovered and went even higher up.

This time i am going to hold my investment, I am certain that it will be like on 1st of August. I would recommend that you do the same. Hold your Bitcoins, there will be doubt when price start to go down, but endure. That is what I'm going to do and what I recommend.

no matter what happens you should always keep what you can afford to lose, at all times. it is not just a hardfork, November kind of thing. this is always true. and when you start doing that you never fear about the future at all.

in this case, if you are hodling bitcoin firs you will get an airdrop on October 25 called bitcoin gold and you can enjoy that bonus because it is an altcoin created for pump and dump and no use.

next there will be SegWit2x in about 40 days (if i am not mistaken) and for that you will have to wait and see. we can't really talk about what will happen to that at this point.

Maybe I'll sell some of my bitcoins if prices drop too fast like a price change of $300 within an hour then basing from the following if it still go beyond a $1000 difference in the following hours then I'll buy in some btc. And then, wait for a couple of days for the price to normalize then proceed with trading. With free btg I think it will be an opportunity where we can all benefit since its free. I'm more concerned about Segwit2x more than btg. We can only hope for best.

Your words itself shows that you are not updated yet and not reading any business related news in any bitcoin news site. There are many information you need to read before you talk about this dude.
Bitcoin Gold spliting is gonna taken part for sure and then hard fork is expecting to done in November. This may give good hope to start into bitcoin or price may fall also. To face the situation we have to hold the bitcoins largely without selling it from now.

There are many things in my do's and don'ts when we talk about hard fork:
- Not going to move a single penny worth of coin during the fork period.
- Thinking of taking a vacation to get out and enjoy my real life and forget about any forks in the way.
- Waiting for some coins (if ever decided by devs and confirmed by exchanges) that I may get after the fork.
All in all, I am not too worried about the situation though it's too serious. When we know it's already getting serious, why to make it more serious by getting serious ourselves?

Some of us many things have plan to do when the hardfork comes. Selling your btc is depends on you as long your funds will not suffer and you will not lose in selling some of your btc. I will just hold when the hardfork comes and ofcourse lets hope for the best.

Why do you say that this time things look serious? There was a lot of panic sell when we had the bitcoin cash fork, and suddenly everyone saw that it was ok, and now we all expect to earn more "dividends" from holding bitcoin on the bitcoin gold fork, and we see those forks as good things.
This one is different because of the absence of replay protection, so yes it looks worst, but only if you want to use the altcoin that will come out of the fork.
I will just hold my bitcoins, and don't touch the other coins until I'm confidant everything is ok. I don't think bitcoin will have any problems out of it, but lets wait and see.

He was talking about the fork in November. The one from the Segwit2x. The bitcoingold fork is in October and there is nothing to worry about that one.

I am planning to move full to Bitcoin for take Bitcoin Gold. I missed some last time but I don't want to miss again.

My exact thoughts may change after a week from here. But still I don't sell any Bitcoins even if the price went low. I'll buy some more BTC. I am planning to dump some of my useless altcoins which I bought before not everything just some. I won't sell top alts at a loss before the fork.

There is actually two options available which we may do with the upcoming event.

1. Sale your bitcoins before the fork and buy back when the price is low. So that you can get some profit. But it is not guaranteed that price will fall before the fork as it was happened in previous fork.

2. Hodl your bitcoins and get free bitcoin gold.
But we need to learn more about this to get free bitcoin gold.
Because in previous fork, so many people including myself didn't get any bitcoin cash. It is because we followed a different guideline.
But if we deposited our bitcoins in a exchange then we may have acquired some bitcoin cash. Though it was a risky decision to make at that time.

As of me, I had loaded my bitcoin in a paper wallet. But I didn't seen any guideline on how to claim bitcoin cash from a paper wallet.
And for the upcoming event I am still looking for the answers.

There is nothing to worry about this , this kind of thinking make bitcoin price drop , bitcoin fork is not new we all know that bitcoin still survive , their might be change of price during to panic selling but this too will just pass and let just continue to hold our bitcoins

personally i will holding my bitcoin no matter if the fork is come because if i sell it, i don't make a good profit and only hold is the best for me. if you buy at the high price and you think that the price is going down then maybe you can sell it otherwise you can follow to hold your bitcoin. we have seen this before and after the fork, the price will back to increase and maybe it will reach more higher than before. but it is up to you, if you are not sure, then you can hold it.

There is no other better way of making way of getting the maximum profit than holding your bitcoins. This November will definitely bring a lot of good news for all of us. We just need to remain patient by that time. Secondly, try to buy more bitcoins right now as the market prices are not that much now a days and it will help you earn handsome amount of money later on.
