No Bitcoin won't go down.
BGold uses a completely different POW algorithm, has replay protection and never claimed to be the real Bitcoin.
It's an altcoin. They said that numerous times now.For Bitcoin holders this is nice dividend.You either hold that Bgold tokens for future gains, sell parts of it or all for fiat or more BTC.
So it's up to you what you are going to do with it.
It will have no negative impact on BTC!!!

I agree you. The long term bitcoin holders will have very huge profit after October 25.As many said, after August 1,the bitcoin will be no more. But bitcoin overcome that one and after that reach very high peak After August 1.So same will occur in Upcoming October 25 also.

maybe bitcoin price will down for a moment for correction price and then it will back to increase. there are too many prediction from other people and we don't know about it. the only thing that we can do is waiting for the time is come, if what people said that every of us which have btc will get like bch yesterday then I will wait for the free coins so we can sell to gain more profit. there is no need to be worried about October 25, bitcoin will be increase more.

i don't even know why people bother talking about the October 25 fork which is clearly an altcoin just with the name bitcoin in it! this is another "brand abuse" that they are doing. they use bitcoin's brand name to make some money from it. that is all there is.
it shouldn't even be talked about in bitcoin speculation board!

another fork,i think just like what had happened last august, this next fork will bring in more investors, since there will be bitcoin gold this time, and just like the previous one, bitcoin cash was produced and a lot invested in bitcoin prior to the fork, this time, i think it will make no difference, since who doesn't want to have extra cash and bitcoin gold will give them just that. hopefully this will also be a success, just like before and still we are waiting for the november fork, i think this time, there will be much a bigger boost when it comes to its value. though right now, there are no negativity around the fork, we should still keep caution and make sure that our wallets are intact and secure, let's all make sure that we never forget what had happened the last time there was a fork, a few weeks later, china banned its exchanges, hopefully this is not a trend, hopefully this time, things will run smoothly.

The fork that is supposed to initiate a chain split this month, is nothing more than a get rich quick opportunity for the big holders behind this nonsense. The only way Bitcoin would get affected by this is that people are looking to buy more Bitcoin to obtain more Gold coins, and that's really it -- there will be no negative consequences. People currently focus on a far more important happening, and that's the hard fork in November, which again might result in a chain split. I wonder how many more chain splits we will experience in the next year(s).

To say that the price of bitcoin after the fork will go up it does not say anything. Based on what your assumptions are? From the point of view of logic it is impossible to get out of the fork with a rise in price. The number of investors declining in any case. Bitcoin is constantly showing similar performance. His actions defy logic and hence unpredictable.

I do not think anything is going to happen that hard fork is way smaller than the bitcoin cash fork, so I do not think people are going to very excited about that fork, not even speculators that like to invest in anything as long as they can get profits seems very excited about this, while the price has grown a little bit I think this is nothing but the natural variation in the price of bitcoin.

Bitcoin holders will just get new coins. Nothing new. already rich will become more rich. History just repeats itself over and over again.  They will keep doing forks forever.  Same as ETH making ICOs and inflates its value.

Yes,another hard fork is expected to happen on 25 october during activation of segwit 2x.It would be carried by miners who had already signed in NYC(New York Agreement) six months before.Interesting thing is that most miners who supported BCH is also supporting segwit 2x and most bitcoin related companies too support segwit 2x.

People are free to make as much forks as they want, but it doesn't mean they will be popular or relevant, it's the same thing as altcoins which do not share a transaction history, some are popular, some are irrelevant.

You cannot see. The most important thing you should do is have control over your private keys by having your assets in a decentralized wallet. There are lot of articles online that you can get on google to know how you can make the best use of your coins before a fork. I will advise you move to a desktop wallet anyway like exodus or electrum. Exodus support is good and can really help you adapt faster on how to be safe.

However, if your present wallet gives you their stand before the fork and will be willing to disburse to you the other sides of the chain, you can stick with them but be careful so they don't end up supporting the shitty side of the chain.

yah i also think that $5000 is just a matter of time now, it'll be before the fork or after although it can be both since most people are expecting the same thing that happened on august first fork where every bitcoin holder gets a free bitcoin cash--depends on how much they own--. Thats why the most possible reason why bitcoin is pumping now is because the bigger amount of bitcoin you hold the bigger bitcoin gold you'll have. its also the reason why most altcoins are red since people are dumping it because of bitcoin.

I am sure there will be another instability a week before and a week after the forking, and nothing fancy will come out after the forking, it will be just another alt coin that claimed, it will transformed bitcoin into a better form, I doubt people will root for this coin and I dont see any succesful chances from this coin
