Alexandr Vinnik’s troubles continue – yesterday the court agreed to his extradition to the United States. Vinnik was arrested in July in Greece and accused of laundering 4 billion dollars through the BTC-e exchange. According to Russian lawyers, he should not be brought to court in the USA because BTC-e is not an American company and does not operate in the country. However, this case goes deeper than that – there are connections between the exchange and accounts involved in stealing money from Mt. Gox.
